The WHO, among others, is a sound good/feel good organization that actually can and has done some good. But like the rest, they are completely subject to political forces.
Why they bend over for minor contributors, like China, but thumb their noses at the US, the #1 contributor, again, is ridiculous. But that's a political effect - China is of one party/one voice.

^^ It's not just WHO that the U.S should lower payments to - WTO, UN, NATO etcetc should also be included. Why is the U.S. responsible for europes defense?, the european countries don't seem too worried about it.
I was really hoping when Trump won he would come out and inform the NATO countries that the U.S. is cutting it's contribution by 25% over his first term and if reelected another 15 - 20% during his second term and that money saved would be used to revamp the countries infrastructure, re-establish our manufacturing base etcetc. The other NATO countries, i.e. Germany France England etc would have to step up and make up the difference.

The lab exposure definitely just a mistake. The willful lying and coverup of the chi see government...not a mistake at all just there modus operandi. Too sensitive to criticism that government deems all decisions and practices as unimpeachable and will punish any and all dissent even those it does not govern.
Keep in mind no one in or outside of China is a threat to them. The only threat they have is coming because of their actions in this one incident despite many other incidents that challenge human rights and national sovereignty.
There was no need for them to cover this up the whole world is dependent on their industrial power. Would have worked with them to fully restore it. History should mark this period as the beginning of the end of their economic power but sadly the greed of the multi-nationals will probably be the slave that encourages the world to forgive and forget.

To say it could not have been intentional is naive. Would our government come out and say it if they had suspicions or knowledge that is was? Probably not, as that would be an act of war on China's part.
China does not have a problem in Beijing, or Shanghai, and they did a terrific job of preventing the virus from infecting their entire country........... but, they failed to prevent travelers from flying internationally? This could not be an oversight or a mistake, they just aren't that stupid. So in my mind, it makes it intentional on their part, but difficult to prove it was.
We have so many liberals focused on blaming Trump, they are not spending much time on blaming China.
The entire world would like to see Trump gone. He is the first president in the last 40 plus years, that is actually putting the interests of the USA first, as he is not a globalist. I have wondered for the last 40 years why we were allowing a potential enemy become so powerful both economically, and militarily at our countries expense.
Do you remember in 1987 or so when Reagan sold the American public on Amnesty for illegal immigrants, giving them a path to citizenship? We were told it was necessary as so many were here and it was not practical to deport them.... But we were also told that we would enforce our immigration laws going forward......... another lie to the American people, and no one ever mentions it today with all the new illegals that have come since then.
I don't like Newsom much, but in my view he has done a good job in regards to handling the pandemic. But giving money to illegal immigrants is BS, just like giving them drivers licenses is. We have so many homeless in this state, and if he wants to hand out money, it should go to helping them. If we didn't have so many illegals here, our housing shortage would obviously not be as severe, and maybe rents would even have to come down some.
Career politicians lie to us, they tell us what we want to hear, then do as they please once they are elected. Trump may be a narcissist, but he has kept his campaign promises even though the democrats have tried to block his every move. With him at least he says what he thinks, and really doesn't give a rats ass if some don't like it. It is why he will be elected again.
