But a sitting Republican President just sent out stimulus checks.
|
|
And did you have an issue with bailouts for airlines and banks and businesses and whatnot? I really hope you did, or you're just another Republicunt who doesn't give a fuck about anyone but himself.

I don't understand why California just steps up and gives free healthcare... We're a trillion dollar GDP state... that's most than MOST countries... we're just bounded by abstract far away power... I don't get why we let people who don't even live where WE live... pick our laws... so medieval

Gina, why are you still up blogging? You should be studying...

This whole Coronavirus situation has me paranoid about my finical stability. I will be living frugally until I know what's going on. $?
I think there are many things we haven't been told. For example six weeks ago they told us wearing masks wouldn't help.
|
|
someone lied, or much double talk from the doctors
|
|
Oh, Dr. Drew. I used to listen to you on Loveline back in the 90's. You used to be so full of factual information, now your just full of shit.
Money printer goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
The Gov deputized the banks to distribute the funds and guess what? They fucked it all up, giving priority to the people that needed it the least.
Who'd a thunk it?

I've been wearing a mask since early March. The only reason they didn't want people to wear masks was because they wanted to make sure there were enough available for healthcare providers. If there wasn't a shortage, they would've been telling us to wear masks from day 1.

studiousbaker....do you really believe California is in excellent financial condition to give away anything.???
Wake up...this state is technically bankrupt...just like New York.
Read this article to get a little more understanding of how many people are government employees in this state....yep, we drove all the manufacturing away, so more and more people work for city, county, state governments and are part of huge pension systems.
Just between CalPERS and CalSTRS, they are under water by $250 billion........and it is growing very fast....
But our elected officials certainly don't want to address the difficult issue of funding this...just like our Federal government is not really willing to address Social Security and its Federal Employee pension funds.....
But don't think just because we are a huge economy we are profitable.....just because you are big doesn't make you good......and economically sound.....
But go ahead and keep believing what our idiots in Sacramento are telling you....

thanks jazz for the info...
boy you really have to dig to find this stuff up..
just crickets from NBC CBS ABC CNN MSNBC PBS YAHOO L.A. TIMES NYT WASHINGTON POST and so on and on....
|
|
But you have to fully understand the problem.....
The internet search engines...companies like Facebook, Google, etc. are run by flaming liberals and the algorithms bring up the left leaning articles and you have to dig deep to find anything mentioning negativity against the liberal left.....it is the 50,000 article in the search..LOL. But the anti Trump articles pop up first.....
The sources that are checked by the search engines first are those you just named......so leftist views propagate leftist views.....
Just show both sides of an issue and let people decide for themselves...but we only get portions of the truth.
|
|
Well said Jazz

Noticed that many European and Scandinavian countries are paying unemployed workers their salaries from the job or a high percentage.
|
|
thedon....what is the population of those nations and how much is their taxation?
We can pay people of you are all willing to accept a 50%+ tax rate.
|
|
@jazz51 I agree with you. Also somethings up with the way this pandemic is being handled.
Trump would have had us back to work by now, but there seems to be other forces at work
that want to bring down the world economies. Politicians, media and medical professionals
in this country totally disregard the economic damage being done by the shutdown.
The cure appears to be worse than the disease.
Some people have the CORONAVIRUS but the govt gave everyone the NOLIFEVIRUS.
Each day as the shutdown continues, state and local governments are losing millions
of dollars in revenue, along with businesses. How are they going to make it up?
The common sense answer is to go back to work and take the necessary precautions.
Living has always been a risk. But many people believe that they should be risk adversive
and just at home until the govt tells them it's now safe to go back to work.
The problem is the longer you wait the greater the chances that you won't have a job
because the economy has collapsed.
|
|
And they keep saying that it could come back or it could get worse maybe, we are not sure!
The amount of Fear Uncertainty and Doubt out there is insane and it is keeping everything off balance.
Are we all supposed to live like this until whenever? Because it is not sustainable at all.
Wait till more unemployment numbers come in. The systems keep crashing because of the demand and the lack of upgrades to the back-end infrastructure. Most of these systems are still running COBOL.
