Professor Plum, in the kitchen with a wrench.

Nothing is opening up until we get this current episode under control.
And not much will open up until we can be certain we can quickly get future breakouts under control.

Indian casinos will open first. I just wonder if all the oxygen tank toting, cigarette smoking, 85 yo MFers pulling on the one arm bandits will be the first ones through the doors or not.
|
|
Most pits and raves will be first
|

I fear the worst for the live events industry.
This entire year is basically ruined for us.
|
|
Maybe food related industries but with social distancing or only at half capacity

INDIAN CASINOS. are there NO RESTRICTIONS there?
DID YOU KNOW...
INDIAN RESERVATIONS, with their casinos,
ARE NOT on U.S. sovereign land.
they are FULLY INDEPENDENT, subject only to TRIBAL LAWS.
but tribes are screwed...
their land, where casinos are located, sit on 1-square mile lots, like a checker board pattern...
look at a detailed map.
years ago, the casinos had a "No Smoking Room". the main casino was FREE to smoke. never saw so many people LIGHT UP! SO SMOKY!
COVID-19 regulations DO NOT APPLY!
no masks? no distancing? open restaurants and bars?
|
|
Not sure which Injun casinos may be open, but the major ones, Pechanga, Pala, Barona, etc, are closed.
|
|
there ARE quite a few more independent casinos than we lnow about...
there was a news item where, a POT SHOP (in front),
was BUSTED by local PD, for money laundering and dealing illegal drugs, while operating illegally card rooms. Guess they went "ALL-IN"...

If we don't open soon there will plenty of businesses that will be closed permanently.
Where's the analysis of the amount of destruction to the economy, each day the shutdown
continues. How are state and local governments going to operate w/o revenue from the people
and businesses? Destroying the lives of healthy people to save the old and feeble seems
like a poor trade off. So far the evidence has shown most of us will live but the fear of dying
is destroying the economy and our way of life. Many politicians and the media seem to promote
this fear.
In this war against the virus, the govt and media don't want you to fight. Just stay in your
home and hope it doesn't get you.
Some people have the CORONAVIRUS but govt. has given everyone the NOLIFEVIRUS.
And if we the people don't start taking action soon, we will be the walking dead.

never really shut down my harley shop
|

Harleys are essential, everybody knows that
Boogie is correct
State and local government revenues have cratered, probably technically BK
weird thing is, if you think about it, the money is still somewhere.....it just stopped going around thru different hands, lol
I guess money velocity drops so money supply better go up, the Fed's trying to ride to the rescue
Anyway
Butts and titties

Economy will open up in California as soon as Newsom gets all of the Federal aid he has been after. He will then run in 4 years for President .. where he can point to how he was PROACTIVE .. in destroying what was left of the business community in California , increasing the amount of Homeless, Record unemployment, highest taxes in the US, and an increasingly mismanaged CALPERS system that will bankrupt all of the local municipalities.
The left will provide an open path to the Democratic nomination. .. Nancy Pelosi will be VP, Eric Garcetti will become Governor of California, James Butts will become Mayor of LA and have a new $325k a year "Assistant" ... and we can all live happily ever in abject poverty.

Money is still being exchanged, just not in easy ways to track

barbers and hair salons duh!

@LuckyGixxer. Could not have said it better 👌
"Slick" Newsom and "madam seepage" Pelosi are the epitome of total Liberal nonsense.

Haircuts.... *sigh* My hair currently looks like someone paid a drunk homeless guy to mow the lawn.
On a more relevant response,
Beaches and parks
Restaurants at limited seating
Department stores and malls with limited capacity
Schools will be dead last. Most districts have already nixed this year which sucks for highschool seniors. No graduation ceremonies.
|
|
Some eastern college’s have already canceled their first quarter or semester.

fever checks upon walk in
and
kick out if u cough
|

The idea of no sporting events until next year really seems unbelievable because
it is a huge part of the economy.
Also limited capacity at restaurants seem unreasonable because many have already
been operating at the edge. If they cant operate at regular capacity, they won't make
a profit, so there is no point in re-opening.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out, and where the blame game goes.

Crossing my fingers for the nail and hair salons (hehe) and Nordstrom's
