the hunch back chick grew on me a little... I will watch season 2...not excited for it like a game of thrones, but it was fine.
I guess the people telling me there was lots of cute girls and sex, forgot I'm on CB, PH 24/7

Washington - on the history channel was very good. 3 two hour episodes --- highly recommend!
one thing to learn of it in school early on, of which most don't really comprehend or retain from that early stage in school.
you can see how lucky this dude was to pull out the win or even survive his early battles on the field
If the British had treated him differently when he was soldiering for them, he wouldn't have been the leader for us
No France, no-win vs the British...luckily they were already duking it out

yellowstone starting again tonight....love this show
looks like past seasons can be easily watched
really enjoying Snowpeircer on TNT
Jennifer Connelly looks pretty good for being almost 50...even a few sex scenes on TNT...little surprising how explicit they are.
the punishment is a little brutal when they take someone's limb off

Just finished Carnival Row on Amazon. If you like shows like Grimm, you would like this.
Watching Homeland seasons 1-7 on HULU. I didn't want to subscribe to Show Time to see season 8 so I bought season 8 DVD from Ebay.
Witcher started out slow but got really good later on.
Thanks for the blurb on "Washington." It's my patriotic duty to watch something like that on the 4th.
Too bad he's been reduced over the past few weeks to being just an "old white slave owner."
Maybe we're not the only ones who need to learn more history.
Lamar, Homeland Season 5 is the best season.
Lewis is pretty good in Billions, also.
gotta move homeland up on the list... I kinda like waiting for them to finish, so I can watch all at one time.
almost caught up with everything...need watch billions...think they are behind 5 episodes to finish...think covid halted them. might also put season 6 in jeopardy and end the series.
hear the "grant" episodes on history channel are great also...might be perfect to watch this weekend if can find it

Californication on Hulu. I saw it about three years ago when it was on Prime.
Animal Kingdom with Ellen Barkin. Still waiting for season 3 to come to prime.
Sort of morbid bit I loved Six Feet Under.
Six Feet Under was a good show.
Morbid ain't a bad thing.
OK...finally finished GRANT from history channel...about 4hrs total
very timely with what we have "going on now" in our country(some of the same exact arguments being used back then as now with states and black rights issues
nice little history of the civil war and his presidency. great commentary by historians and military men, like general Petraeus
try and watch WASHINGTON first
Amazon finely put Aminal Kingdom season 4 on Prime.
Did anyone see "Devs" on Hulu? It's a must if you're into time travel/multiverse/scifi shit. Very good.
I recommend Season 1 of WESTWORLD.
To me, Humaniplex is kinda like WESTWORLD.
Washington was 8 out of 10.
Remove the dumb ass reenactments and it would be 10 out of 10
Anybody that bad mouths the guy should be buried neck deep in an ant hill
Rewatched Season 1 The Boys, Season 2 coming in September
Homeland = boring
6 Feet Under = good
Westworld went off the rails after season 1
American TV has gotten so predictable, I find myself watching foreign stuff dubbed into English. Mostly British, Australian, Welsh, French, Swedish (The Bridge), even Icelandic (Trapped) and Finland (Bordertown).
Need the English subtitles on the Brit and Aussie too, can't understand a word of that English, lol
I also recommend The Americans.
They did a pretty good job arcing that Series.
But the best Series Arc I've seen in the past 20 years was Breaking Bad.
Amos 'n Andy reruns in black and white
I loved those guys
Jack Benny show with Rochester
Hop Sing on Bonanza
I had a thing for the racially pigeonholed character that turned out to be a smart ass.
The Nat King Cole Show ran for 5 seasons, great show
Any Fargo fans around? I'm not joking when I say it's the absolute consistantly best show I've seen, throughout 3 seasons. Great characters and suspense, even the dark comedy you might have seen from the movie plays a role role in the tv series.
^yes
Fargo, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul
All very well done
I enjoyed Fringe
Mainly cause I like looking at Anna Torv's ass

Perry Mason on HBO got my attention. Matthew Rhys is really good as perry mason. The first season is basically an origin story set in 1932 los angeles. As far as the connection to the TV show that ran from late 1950's to mid 1960's just the names made it to this version. della street, paul drake, Lt. Tragg and hamilton burger. All i know of the original series is the perry mason theme song and raymond burr. So, i cant really compare the two versions.
Perry Mason is detective story based in reality with some really great acting. Rhys as
perry mason shows the path from grubby private eye to court room lawyer defender of the innocent.
I think there will be a season #2. i need to find where "the americans" is streaming.
Oh yeah, FARGO season #4 is finally coming September 27th. Im interested in seeing Chris Rock do some serious acting. The last time was New Jack City as Pookie..?
If you're into The Americans I also recommend watching Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
Is that john le carre' ..? The Americans is only $18.99 per season or $ 1.99 per episode. No free streaming on hulu like the rest of Fx shows.
Forget about anything on tv and watch The Bulls documentary
Mbc, John le Carre wrote the novel.
The movie in 2011 had an excellent ensemble cast. Gary Oldman was great, as was everybody else.
I bought all the seasons of The Americans on dvd. Not sure where it's streaming, or if it's free.
Is that about Wall Street or Pamplona?

For some reason, I would think you'd enjoy the 2 seasons of "Rome" on HBO back in 2005
Really well done.
Best line from Marc Antony when Servilia, sometime lover of Caesar commits suicide on his doorstep...... "Now that's an exit!"
I did enjoy Rome, GBD.
My favorite Marc Antony scene was when he demanded some girl suck his cock.
Yes, I've used that scene on many date nights with women I hardly know, who don't seem to be thrilled about "speaking into the microphone"
You'd be surprised how often it works.
I'll have to try that.
Real men don't ask

yeah i saw a little bit of that movie. i read smileys people when i was a kid. the book was a bit too dry and wordy for a high school kid. so, i didnt really give Tinker taylor soldier spy a chance. i like gary oldman when he uses his native accent. sid vicious, sirius black, churchill. but his non british characters are classic villains. dracula, mason verger, zorg, stansfield, and drexl. great actor..
it looks like the americans is the only Fx series Not streaming for free on hulu. i saw
matthew rhys in a british movie for TV on BBC america called the scapegoat. the guy can act. but the plot is a bit unbelievable and when he plays a brit he sounds totally gay... enjoy.
oh... the first season of True Detective with woody harrelson, and matthew mcconaughey was great. enjoy,,
Yes, 1st Season of True Detective was great.
2nd Season was not great.
Didn't see 3rd Season.
2nd season with vince vaughn had its moments. but i found myself laughing every time vince vaughn was trying to be serious. 3rd season had mahershala ali and stephen dorff. ali is really good and suprisingly so is dorff.. it did capture the feel of season 1.
a movie i havent watched in years until last week was Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
this movie has the feel and humor of the original series. the banter between spock and Mccoy is classic. the plot is a murder mystery in space with klingons. ya cant lose..
Wrath of Khan is still the uber-Trek.
Nicholas Meyer couldn't recapture the feel and the fury for The Undiscovered Country.
Of course, without Ricardo, how could you?
That man is Corinthian Leather.
dude i still cry when spock dies.. the love between to men can be a beautiful thing.
Spock: Ship, out of danger..?
Kirk: Yes.
Spock: Do not grieve Admiral. It is logical. The needs of the many, outweigh..
Kirk: The needs of the few...
Spock: Or the one. I never took the Kobayashi Maru test until now. What do you think of my
solution.?
KirK: Spock..!!!
Spock: I have been... and always shall be.. your friend.
Live long .. and prosper.
[Spock dies]
Kirk: No...

I've never Amazon'd anything in my life.
I'm waiting for all my favorite shows to appear at the local Drive-In Theater.
They'll be making a big comeback.
I found it. Amazon wants $2.99 per episode or $12.99 per season.
. $78.00 for all 6 seasons. F that. It should be free on hulu. I just watched episode #01. 74 episodes to go.
with amazon prime...the americans is included
even without the packages....the tv offerings and movies are worth it.
some cool 1hr long docs. gotta watch how china got rich...and few others
fargo is a charge on amazon, but included on hulu
