No risk it...
No biscuit! - Bruce Arians

I have been putting bits of extra cash in the market over the last few weeks.

Penny stocks are fun to play with. If you can hold for about 9 months to a year... I think oil isn’t a bad bet right now

Whiting Petroleum collapsed. A few years ago 291. Last year at 29. They were in big trouble. Filed for BK. Stock dropped to .29. yes... 29 cents. They emerged from BK with sweet deals with all of their creditors... and a shitload of cash to manage and expand operations. I bought 600 shares at .33 with (About $200) it started to climb. I bought another 10,000 shares at .48 (about $4800). It shot up to $1.80 last week and settled in around 1.20s.

Hoping if I hold it about a year with small incremental growth it will hit the 8.00 mark. I think oil starts to come back in the fall.

Also bought some Royal Dutch Shell (who cut dividends for the first time in 70 years). Not a good sign... but I believe the world is not ready to move away from oil just yet. It’s got at least one more rally left.

If you think it will come back... now is the time to buy it. But you will need to hold it a while.

Buffet was awesome today

Took him a while to get through 230 years of American History, but he was right on, on every topic that he covered...

Buy stocks for the long term was his message

A few months ago Buffet said he believes the stock market will hit 100,000 by 2075. 50,000 by 2030.

Do you think Cruise lines will come back?

I used to love cruises. Used to every 2-3 years. Then was on one that passed around a stomach virus like it was free lotto tickets... and my so and I were big winners. That was 10 years ago. Haven’t been since.

Im a beginner just starting to learn. Vegas casinos seem like gambling right now because who knows when things will get back to normal in sports gambling and who knows when people are going to be gambling like they were before the pandemic. Do you guys think its possible that some casinos will go out of business? What do you guys think about the federal reserve buying stocks? Is that good or bad for the country? What is you guys' opinion about also using leverage in addition to your own capital when investing in stocks?

I buy stocks to hold for 5 to 10 years...

Bought some more DAL and LUV this morning... I already hold them and this helps me dollar cost average down my portfolio in each stock...

I'm a firm believer in the stock market...

I'm looking for long term investments that have high probability of huge appreciation in the stock price, and pay dividends...

Treasury bills --- 30 year --- are paying 1 1/4 %

Keep your rainy day savings in a credit union or T-bills, but if you have investment cash, I can't see a better time to get in on some real bargains in the stock market...

^^^ Been as low as $ 7.77 and as high as $ 57.19 in the last 6 months...

FMV is $ 93.34 Closed at $ 14.44 today ...

They've been hitting their EPS forecasts

They do not pay a dividend, but if they get back to a somewhat normal passenger level, they make good profit --- Net about 18% --- and their stock has a lot of room to grow with the FMV where it's at...

"But let me guess. You love you some george Soros
Buffet ? What in the world do your have against him ?"

Soros? Great investor, mostly a piece of shit though. He's the guy behind SFO's new DA and more.

Buffet, where do I start with his hypocrisy? This guy is clever.
Progressive, so he says, backed Hillary. Thinks nobody pays enough taxes. During Hilly's run, made a big deal that his secretary paid more taxes than him even though he's a billionaire.

Over 50 years ago, set up his investment vehicle as an insurance company cause they pay no taxes under certain conditions. He pays himself no salary, so pays no taxes. Several of his companies have been in multi-billion dollar differences of opinion with the IRS, lol. He hates paying taxes so is giving ALL his wealth to the Gates Foundation so neither the feds nor the state will see any of it.

I think he's playing a game on everybody, professing to be a progressive so the media will give him a pass but several publications like Barron's, Wall St Journal, and others have pointed out his hypocrisy over the years.

Make no mistake, we're all better off if he keeps the money to invest it rather than give it to those fools in government. BUT, he wants everybody else to pay more. Like i said, its just a cynical ploy to keep the Mainstream Media off his ass. Fucking sly dude.

Anyway, great allocator of capital, no doubt. But, he's smart like a fox that doesn't like to pay his "fair" share, lol....progressives love that word "fair"

I feel the same way about Buffet. Brilliant guy... but the whole taxes thing is a sham.

There is not a single person in the country who cannot pay more taxes IF THEY REALLY WANT TO!

THEY don’t want to pay more.... they want ME to pay more.

If all of the people who think we should pay higher taxes just stopped claiming some (or all) of their deductions and didn’t take advantage of the loop holes available to them... they alone could solve a few of the problems they believe higher taxes would fix.

Then a lot more of us would see the success of their campaign and maybe decide I will forgo a couple of deductions for the good of the country.

But until then... keep your grubby hands out of my bank account.

If Buffet felt that strongly about Progressivism and the great efficient work government does, he could donate his fortune to the tax man at any time, lol.

He knows his $50 billion will get spent in a few days with nothing to show for it.

So giving it all to Gates Foundation. He knows if he tells the right story, the idiot media won't say shit and keep politicians from crawling up his arsehole with a bright light.

Yeah, hypocrite and a big one at that.
