None of these recorded epidemics died out naturally because of “herd immunity”
Many of them with mass vaccinations
These words are being thrown around like “quid pro quo’
There was no herd immunity with “wild” smallpox, dengue, etc
Cholera and plague are bacterial infections and vaccinations can provide immunity from some bacterial infections too.
There was no herd immunity with Ebola; it comes and then dies way.
That possibly can happen with this Covid virus, I think.
The first SARs frizzled away.
This one, after causing havoc in the world, might too this summer, never to surface.
It’s well known in medical literature you need over 90 percent vaccinated to provide effective herd immunity.
Example: The past measles outbreak in OC since large proportion in OC and parts of LA have refused measles vaccine for their kids. This occurred because vaccinations rates have dropped to 80 percent in south California
