Toys, books, clothing, sporting goods and music. Are you kidding

When the governor said that Friday would bring the opening of stores like those selling toys, books, clothing, sporting goods and music, I didn't realize that he literally meant only those stores selling toys, books, clothing, sporting goods and music. LOL.

Not me or anyone in my industry.

Live events are all but dead, probably until next year. Thats millions of folks that will still be out of a job.

If Newscum has his way, those jobs may never come back to Ca. Sucks.

Live events and tourism....California is going to take a huge hit....Newsom is already whining about it in his news conference today, needing the Federal government to step up and take care of our shortfall.....

Hey dumbshit...if you hadn't pushed all of the manufacturing jobs out of the state, we might have a little more diverse economy...

No bailout for Cal. The state has wasted so much money on that train project and on illegals.

Let the state continue to fail.

PA....he just announced that the new budget shows now a shortfall.

Budgets assume income and because of our shut down, lack of essential industries (we don't make much stuff here because manufacturing is environmentally unfriendly), total collapse of one of our biggest industries - tourism, we are going to see a huge deficit...He was whining that we need the Federal government to bail California out from its economic collapse.

The cost of opening up too soon:

"Community spread of the coronavirus in California began in a nail salon, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Thursday, as other states allow their manicurists to reopen.

Newsom has announced a four-phase plan to reopening the states economy that begins on Friday. Unlike some other states that have announced reopenings, California nail salons wont be allowed to reopen until the states phase 3. Its currently shifting from phase 1 to phase 2.

'This whole thing started in the state of California, the first community spread, in a nail salon,' Newsom said at a news briefing. 'Im very worried about that.'

State health directors have put some 'red flags' on nail salons as a high-risk business, Newsom added, likening them to gyms and hair salons. He announced Monday that the state will allow some low-risk businesses, including bookstores, warehouses, florists and more, to begin reopening with modifications and offering curbside pick up as soon as Friday."

Well if you are visiting quality nail salons there are very strict sanitation rules. So I think it's funny that folks can visit a grocery store and feel like they are not at risk and are followingg the rules. Please tell me how a trip to buy milk would be any more dangerous than getting a haircut? In fact with all the germs from reading labels or reaching for an item at the store?

Right on AP.

Same for hair salons. Everybody including customers are masked and gloved up. Open them up for business. They are much more prepared and clean than a 711 or grocery store.

I found a open salon in Tustin. I went and got a haircut, it felt safe to me. We wore masks and I saw how the other stylist cleaned her station for next client. Also a barbershop is now open in Laguna Hills . I just said fuckit ..I need a haircut.

I think all the asshole posters who think California is a “failed state” should pack their bags and get the fuck out. I’m sure Georgia will welcome your dumbasses with coronavirus-laced arms. Seriously, give a call to 1-800-UHAUL and bail out, we don’t need you here.

For all my friends that hate CA so much, the roads are open. I bet in a week you could pack your shit and be in the Shangri La of Idaho, Texas, or maybe Alabama. So, what keeps you here? If surrounded by "liberal snowflakes" and overpriced properties, why not go somewhere you will be happier. As a native for nearly 50 years, here's the deal...CA was always called the land of "fruits and nuts". As my Trumper friends say all the time "fuck your feelings " and "suck it up, buttercup." Weren't half of the people going to Canada when Obama got in? And weren't the other half going there when Trump got in? So, why is it so fucking crowded when no one wants to BE here? Just noise.
