There’s a difference. What ever you may be exposed to at a Prop 65 facility , it stays at the facility and within you.
Covid is highly contagious and mutating. Once exposed, you may take it with you where ever you may go and not show signs until days later. And you may not be aware of being exposed until too late.

Let me put it in terms you may understand.
You may trust your own judgement, but do you trust the judgement and priorities of your neighbors and others in your community? Willing to take the chance that the People that Time Forgot at Walmart or the shared parking lot give a shit about your well being?

That’s why I don’t go in buildings I just smoke my cigarettes peacefully outside. Not into getting cancer. So no buildings for me. Plus smoking cigs inside is smelly smh 🤦♀️

It's about the degree of peril.
Construction zones do not allow people to enter without wearing hard hats and sturdy shoes, because there's a good chance that falling debris will kill a person.
Is it one's own choice to enter a construction zone without gear? Sure. The difference is, if you choose to do that, only you run the risk of getting hurt.
Not wearing a mask is akin to running into the construction zone, and then throwing things from the ledge blindly.
