You forgot that....
Pelosi said this on live television, Feb 24
“That’s what we’re trying to do today is to say everything is fine here,” Pelosi said. “Come because precautions have been taken. The city is on top of the situation” …
Mayor de Blasio said this on Mar. 11 at a press conference
"People should still be going out to eat at restaurants, Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a press conference about the new coronavirus on Wednesday — emphasizing that the virus “does not transmit through food and drink.”
Cuomo said this on Mar 17th, right after de Blasio started making noises about "shelter in place"
"Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday night that New York City would not have a shelter-in-place order, a few hours after Mayor Bill de Blasio said the city was considering it and warned New Yorkers to prepare."
Funny how politicians on both sides can fuck up, but you only hear about 1 side on CNN.
Obama won't go to jail, but his rep and cred are gonna take a big hit on the Russia hoax

Obama is a normal human being, Trump is not
|
|
Define normal.
Trump has a personality disorder as does Obama, they're just different ones
Even if Obama could be considered normal, why did he make so many bad policy decisions?
There are just too many to list.
Anyway, let us all know when you've completed your expert psychoanalysis, please.

Vietnam war - 15 years ——- 50,000 Americans Died —3 president Failed
Corona virus — 3months ———85,000 American dead with no end and rising —— one nut job President, who say “ doctors are surprised how he knows so much more about coronavirus than doctor”
Go figure out

@bigpleaseer
So you think Obama should have closed the country to prevent a virus from spreading that eventually killed 12,469 Americans? And you’re somehow comparing that to a virus that has killed nearly 90,000 Americans, WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES, in three months that is estimated will eventually kill at least 160,000 Americans? Again, this is happening even after social distancing measures and theses are underestimated deaths, by the way.
Bottom line: Trump disregarded the warnings in January that COVID-19 would devastate the US it the country didn’t take drastic measures to mitigate its spread. If the lockdown would have occurred back in January or early February (some claim even two weeks earlier than it did), the lockdown would have lasted as little as two weeks and would have reduced American deaths by 90%.
Conversely, Trump downplayed it and claimed it “would go away like a miracle” and gave brilliant suggestions like people should inject disinfected to kill the virus.
Trump’s stupidity and selfishness has cost tens of thousands of American lives and trillions of dollars to the US.
So yeah, I guess Obama might win this one.

Apparently the Obama administration turned over a large document regarding possible pandemic to the Trump administration. This was before Trump took power. Apparently nobody read or considered it. Trump officials only recently confirmed this was true. Trump does not have the intellectual capacity to really understand the full nature of a pandemic. When the virus was intially confirmed in this country his response was It will go away soon, we have it under control etc
|
|
@thedon60 is correct.
Even McConnell admits that Obama left a pandemic playbook.
Please watch the video in the second link to this post where Obama asks Congress to provide funding for a pandemic response and said it wasn't a partisan issue.

Your question is academic at best.
The real question is, who would be better at handling this between Trump or Biden.
Biden has clearly has the beginning stages of dementia.
A hallmark of that disease is not believing you have it, so if he's elected there will most likely be a court fight to have his vice-president step in during his first term.
Believe me, I have seen this first hand, only with a normal citizen, not the President of the United States.

I'd vote for a vacuum cleaner over Trump, at least a vacuum cleaner isn't actively hurting this country.
Imagine the heartless piece of shit of a human being who wants to cut food stamps to 700,000 people during a pandemic. Donald J. Trump is that piece of shit.
|
|
Hussein Obama left nothing in the stockpile. A plan is just words. Anyone can leave or make a plan. A nothing stockpile was a major problem. People forget that Obama blamed bush for everything for 8 years. The funny part is he also got us into 2 wars and the economy wasn't great because if it was Hillary would've won. The country should've never been shut down. Fauci was a disaster from the start. The experts were wrong on everything. There might not even be a vaccine!!! Dont listen to leftist state television.

"Bottom line: Trump disregarded the warnings in January that COVID-19 would devastate the US it the country didn’t take drastic measures to mitigate its spread."
So MostlyAnnoying, you just ignore the 3 specific cases I posted about Dem politicians ignoring the warnings also, especially in NYC, the hardest hit with most cases and most deaths.
Well played
Here's some more stupid that you will ignore also:
NY State policy REQUIRED nursing homes to take in recovering CV19 patients until the state reversed that policy JUST THIS LAST SUNDAY. WTF?
As one example, Luxor Nursing & Rehabilitation had NO CV19 cases prior to recovering patients moving back in. Then became overwhelmed by CV cases, 50% of deaths are in nursing homes...............Thank you Cuomo!!!
Maybe I missed you bitching about Cuomo somewhere, please repost

tRump was warned in January....
During this time, Trump played golf on Jan. 18 and 19, Feb. 1 and 15, and March 7 and 8, according to the Trump Golf Count website.
He held rallies on
Jan. 9 (Toledo, Ohio);
14 (Milwaukee),
22<<<<<<<<<<<<28 (Wildwood, N.J.)
30 (Des Moines, Iowa),
Feb. 10 (Manchester, N.H.),
19 (Phoenix),
20 (Colorado Springs),
21 (Las Vegas)
28 (Charleston, S.C.). That day, there were 59 confirmed cases and two dead in the US
The whole time claiming that the pandemic was a hoax by the Democrats to destroy his presidency.
"oh but Obama went and played golf once" BWWAHAHAHAHA love it
Him being a shitty president is an excuse for tRump to be a 10x shittier president. Cause THAT is how you MAGA.

"Imagine the heartless piece of shit of a human being who wants to cut food stamps to 700,000 people during a pandemic. Donald J. Trump is that piece of shit."
The same Donald Trump that just send $1200 to every adult and $500 for every child?
The same Donald Trump that has to deal with Democrats who want to give your money to illegal aliens instead of you? That want to give money to the Kennedy Center? That want to put riders on aid bills that regulate airplane emissions? That gives money to Planned Parenthood? That gives money to Democrat special interests instead of We the People?
Oh yeah...THAT Donald Trump.
|
|
@yellowB2
Oh yeah, because Donald Trump signed the checks, then he is the one who sent the people the money...not Congress who actually drafted and passed the relief.
@GoBallsDeep
The President has access to information through daily briefs that governors and mayors do not know. If they were also warned and ignored the warnings early on, then they should also be criticized.
But unlike Trump, both Democrat and Republican govenors and mayors have stepped up with plans of action that should have been handled by the federal government.
Trump is a clown, which you also admitted to in the past in multiple posts, but you enjoy stirring the pot.
|
|
No one downplayed coronavirus more than the left. Fauci, Pelosi, Cuomo, de blasio, nyt, Washington post, so on and so forth. Biden and Bernie were against the travel bans and the left said there was nothing to worry about. Just look at statements by the politicians I mentioned in late February through mid march, even late march. What's the point in having governors if they're not gonna do their job? They're scared to take action and make decisions. Cuomo especially. That guy bit off more than he can chew. Trump bailed his ass out repeatedly.
|
|
You didn't plan for a virus no one heard of !!!! On the one hand.
You didn't think it was a threat!!! On the other hand.
Sounds like you people are talking past each other.
Wouldn't it be safe to say that timely information provided by China would have been a great help to us all?
Nope cant say that it doesn't make my opponent look bad.
|
|
"But unlike Trump, both Democrat and Republican govenors and mayors have stepped up with plans of action....."
Some would say that is Federalism at work.
|
|
Obama 's pandemic plan ain't shit!
If I were president I would have set up a few snipers around the Wuhan bio labs ready to take out anyone smelling like bat piss. Then some ninjas monitoring the wet markets taking out anyone eating bats. Done and done!
|
|
Lol, get 'em luo
Spray 'em with goo
|
|
"But unlike Trump, both Democrat and Republican govenors and mayors have stepped up with plans of action that should have been handled by the federal government."
That's gotta be THE dumbest ass statement so far, "dumbase"
The Federal government, you mean the guy you hate, should've played emperor and told all 50 states what to do and how to do it?
Apparently stupid isn't like a leaky roof or a broken pipe, you really can't fix it.
That's sad.....
|
|
That's gotta be THE dumbest ass statement so far, "dumbase"
Hold on GoBallsDeep, doom dud & gloom guy haven't posted yet...

Actually BigPleaser per the attached article according to the CDC the real number of dead from the H1N1 virus was probably 15 times greater than the official numbers of 12,000 +. The National institute of Health believes the number of dead was probably 7 times greater than the official numbers. So according to these two agencies who were probably responsible for originally coming up with the 12,000+ number there were really between 85,000 and 187,000 dead.
Of course these are the same people responsible for our current estimates. Also they are responsible for the estimated death from flu each year. Perhaps the federal government should save a few dollars in salary and just hire the organ grinder's monkey to throw darts at a board and use that for coming up with an accurate death count. It might be more accurate.

Are you guys playing dumb or are you just dumb?
The federal government’s role in any disaster that affects the entire country is to manage and coordinate resources to prevent inefficiencies, to save lives, and to minimize the deleterious affects of the emergency.
For example, you don’t find it to be odd that all of the states were forced to compete with each other for available respirators and PPEs rather than having a centralized, coordinated effort through the federal government? Respirators normally cost $20k to $25k were being bid up to over $40k to $50k. Why? Trump should have used the Defense Production Act to lock in a fair price (price gouging during an emergency is illegal) and have them produced in sufficient quantities to address shortages as needed across the states.
But what Trump did, that lazy, ignorant bitch, was to create a shitshow where states fought for available supplies, bid up the prices, and created inefficiencies that that wasted hundreds of millions of dollars and resulted in hundreds (if not thousands) of needless deaths.
All off this is obvious. No one in their right minds should believe that Trump is competent. Do any of you think that Trump is handling testing adequately? That needs to be centralized as well—one uniform system for the entire country. How about a definable plan for opening up the country?
“Hey, let’s just throw open the doors again and pray things work out. Yay!”
Trump tweeted 126 times this past Sunday. What the fuck is he doing with his time while 1,500 to 2,000 Americans die each day from this virus?
Trump is a joke and those who continue to support him are morons.

I know I’m wasting my time with these political discussions. If you still don’t see Trump for who he is by now, I’ll likely never be able to open your eyes.
I originally started posting about the virus simply to dispel the misinformation that was floating around early on, and to warn those who didn’t take it seriously. I interact with many doctors, so I have access to information that many people don’t have.
- Yes, it can still kill you.
- Yes, you can still be infected but suffer no symptoms, but then infect your family members and friends who can be seriously hurt or die from it.
- We are not out of the woods yet.
- Crowded beaches will result in an increase in infections.
- Please only listen to the medical professionals to get real, honest information.
We need to get back to work, but take precautions doing so.
I have no idea how you can take adequate precautions by being intimate with someone.
I wish everyone the best of luck dealing with all of this.
I hope everyone stays safe and healthy.

You sound like a faggot.

September 24, 2019 - House begins political impeachment inquiry.
December 18, 2019 - House votes in favor of 2 articles of impeachment.
January 14, 2020 - WHO announces Covid-19 can be transmitted from humans to humans.
January 16, 2020 - Impeachment trial begins in the Senate.
January 31, 2020 - Trump is the first world leader to announce a Chinese travel ban, and is widely denounced as racist by various Democrats including Joe Biden.
February 5, 2020 - President Trump is exonerated by the Senate.
March 11, 2020 - WHO declares pandemic.
Could Trump have done better? - Yes
Could Trump have done worse? - Yes
Was Trump distracted by political nonsense when he should have focused on the virus? - Very likely
Would Biden have done better? - Doubtful
Would any of us have done better under the same circumstances? - Maybe
Are the Democrats trying to make political advantage by criticizing the administration's handling of the pandemic?

"I originally started posting about the virus simply to dispel the misinformation that was floating around early on"
MostlyAnnoying2020, you are a primary SOURCE of misinformation, illogical thinking, hypocrisy and confusion. The only thing that actually matters to you is your hatred of Trump, bottom line. It's from that source that all your vitriol flows.
Trump has made plenty of mistakes, but a fair minded person understands that there are many responsible for the current state of affairs. Obama exhausted our disaster supplies, then never replenished them during his 8 years. How many deaths is he responsible for? Gruesome made a Chinese mask deal 3 weeks ago and that $1 billion may be lost. How many dead are on him? Halfway into March, with the virus starting to rage, Cuomo/de Blasio still haven't a clue. How many? NY State just changed the nursing home policy LAST SUNDAY, how many dead do we pin on those bureaucrats. Some Republican governors are opening up faster than Trump or CDC want, how many new deaths will they be responsible for?
You're sick dude, you suffer from the TDS. And, I don't defend Trump, in some ways he's indefensible.
But, your brain infected raging posts make you look silly.
You're getting close to going "full" WorldAss.
You should never go "full" WorldAss

"Trump tweeted 126 times this past Sunday. What the fuck is he doing with his time while 1,500 to 2,000 Americans die each day from this virus?"
Watching TV, he flips between Fox, Cartoons and Food Channel

Obama would have been better as all he would have done is blame George Bush & the media would have reported it as gospel.
Obama achieved nothing before becoming POTUS. He was an eloquent speaker at the DNC, who voted "present" as a senator, and no one could call him out on his bad ideas as to do so is racist.
|
|
Achieved nothing? He turned the fucking country around after Bush and the heathens fell down the stupid tree and kept hitting every fucking branch.
What happened during the last medical crisis? America got better.
What’s happening now? America is an empty shadow of what it was.

Here's an except from Vanity Fair in 2019 on Donald's Trump's meeting with Putin:
Donald Trump on Thursday employed the tried and true I know you are, but what am I? defense against Rex Tillerson’s claim that he’d been unprepared for a 2017 meeting with Vladimir Putin, tweeting that it was actually his former secretary of state who was “ill prepared and ill equipped” for his job. “Rex Tillerson, a man who is ‘dumb as a rock’ . . . made up a story (he got fired) that I was out-prepared by Vladimir Putin at a meeting in Hamburg, Germany,” he tweeted. “I don’t think Putin would agree,” Trump wrote. “Look how the U.S. is doing!”
The impetus for this outburst, of course, was Tillerson’s suggestion to a House committee on Tuesday that the president was on “unequal footing” with the Russian strongman during their first meeting in Germany two years ago, adding to concerns that Trump is regularly played by more cunning world leaders. “Putin is a very nimble adversary who’s been at this for 20 years now,” Andrew Weiss, a Russia scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, told The Washington Post, which first reported Tillerson’s comments. “The Hamburg meeting sounds like it was one of Putin’s wildest dreams: a freewheeling backroom-style conversation with a U.S. president.”
The president denied being caught off guard by Putin—he was “perfectly prepared,” he told the Post—but he himself has spoken proudly of winging it in high-stakes meetings with foreign leaders. “I don’t think I have to prepare very much,” Trump told reporters last year ahead of his first summit with North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un. “It’s about attitude.”
Of course, Trump’s meetings with world leaders have gone as well as expected for a guy improvising his way through them, which is to say he can hardly take a trip abroad without angering allies or praising dictators. Part of that is because he’s unprepared. Part of it is because, as Tillerson once reportedly said, he is a “fucking moron.”
Tillerson, who was fired in 2018, didn’t win much favor with Trump for venting his frustrations. The president repeatedly undercut his diplomatic efforts during his tenure as secretary of state, at one point even challenging him to an I.Q. test. He’s continued to bash Tillerson since replacing him with Mike Pompeo, tweeting in December that the ex-secretary of state “didn’t have the mental capacity needed” for the job, and was “lazy as hell.” As is often the case with Trump, though, the accusation is something of an admission.

Have you all forgotten that we were dealing with an Impeachment hearing During the early stages of the Coronavirus outbreak. In fact a majority of the people scoffed at the idea that a minor flu like disease was even worth giving a second thought. It's always easy to criticize afterwards. Stay safe!
|
|
@notevenclosetoamusing ... Yes you are wasting your time. Your arguements/reasoning is skewed. On the one hand if the man you hate acts decisively and imposes a decision you say "Who does he think he is" if on the other hand he provides resources to states and moves he'll and high water to up production of necessary PPE and signs into law trillions of aid you say "He is absent and is derelict".
You have created your own self fulfilling prophecy and nothing would change your mind. I have seen the Preaident take what I deem to be reasonable action and be castigated for it by the media and the likes of you. Can more be done by all parties? Yes but you wouldn't appreciate it if it was spoke of by Trump.

@qwiksilver
Excellent point that the chooses to ignore.
And recent evidence clearly shows the past 3 1/2 years of Congressional hoax and witch hunt had ZERO basis or merit... NONE
but yet the left still has the gall to criticize during a pandemic when the administration is delivering with bipartisan efforts and blue state governors have openly thanked the president in the media.
SMH... the TDS makes me puke
