One of the side effects of a Zpak which is taken along with chloroquine is arrhythmia. It's probably from the antibiotic. Journalists aren't very bright people.

The cited work is a " retrospective analysis of medical records" much like the vaunted study that was supposedly conducted by the VA in which most of the Dr's were OPTHAMOLOGISTS and not epidemiologists or Infectious disease Dr.s. You look for your confirmation bias, I'll look into what and who is saying it.
I took HCQ for months no doctors were worried about my heart when doing so. All the sudden its a focus for this. Give me a fricken break.

The article itself is flawed. States, it's not the 'Gold Standard' testing methodology. Only tested on people already in the hospital and in very bad shape. AFAIK that's not what HCQ is for; it is prescribed as a prophylactic or for people with mild symptoms.
I don't know if HCQ +/- Zithro and Zinc is good or bad, but ask yourself,...

Right now!! there is no "approved" alternative treatment for Covid-19. It is outright irresponsible to dis-regard a treatment that has at least anecdotal evidence of being effective without a real approved alternative. Not everyone can or should wait for a remdesivir dose... there is not enough to go around. The media is not telling you what you can do only what they think you shouldn't do. only taking a stand against Trump and not taking a stand for patients.

People come in to the ERs all the time with cannabis, cocaine, meth arrhythmias.
Quick summary:
The study was an international registry for Covid patients admitted to hospitals. Over 95000 patients.
Showed no benefit for hydroxy or zpak, alone or together. In fact increase in mortality was increased in all those who got the drug or combination of drugs. Arrhythmias were significantly increased in al,those who got the medications, though it wasnât necessarily the cause of death.

I have no clue whether it's effective against CV19, probably more studies need to be done.
However, HCQ is one of the go to medications for Malaria, Lupus, Amebiasis, and Rheumatic disease.
Has anyone told those people that they're about to die from arrhythmia???
I don't question the study cited by the Washington Post but i do question why the WashPost doesn't also speak to the issues I've noted above?

I don't know if hydroxychloroquine works or not. I hope it does work to help save lives. The thing is Trump is not the person that should be promoting it. He's looking for some quick fix to try to take credit for something. Health care providers and doctors should be the ones who decide prescribe medicine and they should be the only ones to evaluate who should and shouldn't take it.
Trump has fucked up the crisis from every angle possible. The US has the most cases and the most deaths of any country on earth from the cornavirus. 1.6 mil cases and 97,000 deaths. The virus didn't originate here so why so many more infections here than any other country? Can you Trumps supporters tell me how a President could have handled this criss any worst?
