70 mph to 75 mph if traffic is ok. Now I'm going 85 mph in the fast lane and this mini van
is all over my ass. As soon as it was clear the mini van changes lanes and floors it.
Probably pass me going close to 90 mph. Traffic is getting heavier but the speed is not
coming down. The other thing that is totally irresponsible is passing on the right into merging
traffic and going too fast. Every time you change lanes your chances of getting into an accident
increase. they way some people are driving increases the chances even more. the higher
speed most likely increases the chance of roll over thus increasing the chance of being killed.
of course if you dont wear seat belts your'e fucked. i shouldnt smoke when typing..

Why the hell are you going 85? Other people are driving stupid so I'll drive stupid too, but I refuse to drive extra stupid. Good plan.
Slower traffic to the right
Fast lane, merge left, let's roll, take flight
if I'm already speeding and someones on my ass, hope they're ready for fast brake lights
Somebody is behind you then move over. It is the law.
Stop choking the number 1 lane. You don't own it.
^^^^^ it's the law.... Nice
And the speed limit is the law. I guess we all follow what laws we wanna follow. Funny to see people (dipshits) changing lanes, tailgating etc, just to see them exit a few miles later. Sliding over 5 lanes from the car pool lane at the last minute. It's a mission just to get from a to b now.
I have a clean record.

In California it is the fast lane. ... In CA the left lane is the passing lane and you can get a ticket for not moving to the right. If you are in the left lane and are not moving as fast as traffic, even if you are going the speed limit, you can get a ticket. When someone approaches you from behind, you must move right.
Read it and weep

GE:
I roll in the lane next to the slow lane and watch the show

For many motorists, nothing is worse than the oblivious slow left-lane driver.
Case in point: The Chico, office of the California Highway Patrol recently posted a reminder on Facebook about staying in the lanes to the right of the “fast lane” if you’re doing anything other than passing another vehicle.
I guess I'll drive like an asshole then
I think everyone got their license out of a crackerjack box! From here to Oklahoma I haven’t found one city where the people don’t drive like they are the only person on the road! Im learning more patients because my anger can be more dangerous than anything for me and others. And for some reason I kinda don’t wanna be the reason anyone gets hurt!
As a commercial driver I am restricted to the slow lane in CA.
I am allowed to pass using the lane to my left.
Then I am required to return to the slow lane.
Check out what lane the commercial drivers use.
It will make one laugh
Meh. I move over a lane. If I'm going way faster than the guy in front, I just keep a safe distance or pass safe. The people that get caught up with attitude or rules cause the accidents.
just don't drive thru portland, unless you're in an armored vehicle
When the 55 fwy NB is no longer bumper to bumber at 3pm, it’s just so weird.
I love it, but it hits you.
Wtf? You should always be careful when you drive!

Driving back to Vegas, I cna be in the middle of three lanes, with no traffic to the left, but far too many CA drivers pass me on the right, My neck gets sore from shaking my head, I cnat even begin to understand why they do that.
Speeding is the only moving violation I do. Only when safe, and on the freeway or highways.
I try to stay in the far left lane (ya have half as many jerks weaving in front of you) and set cruise control at 79 or otherwise “go with the flow”
I had one chicken shit CHP write me up for going 76, on a big, wide straight freeway, but that was an anomaly.
Tailgating is about the dumbest thing a driver can do.
Stay focused, and drive defensively.

funny, can't be cali

I was zipping down the 15 once in my new sports car, heading to a casino, going about 90-95.
I look in the rear view mirror and see someone far behind me, but catching up fairly quickly (they were clearly going faster than me).
By the time I got over a lane, they were probably about a 1/8-1/4 a mile behind me.
They passed me quickly on the left, likely going about 100-110 (I had slowed to about 85/90).
As they passed I noticed it was CHP.

Also answers to the name lucky
If you haven't noticed, when driving to Las Vegas, it's ok to drive at 80mph.
Driving over 80 will get you a ticket by the CHP.
I got caught twice doing around 100. Learned my lesson.
I remember one ticket was $600 and that was over 10 years ago.
I rarely see the CHP on the freeways these days.
That's why there are lots of speeders these days.
About 8 years, there were plenty of CHP waiting to
ticket you if you were driving in from the SGV into LA,
especially on the weekends.
I thought this was going to be about protesters on the freeway.
You know it's not a bad idea to think about in advance what you'd do if you see a mob of assholes stopping traffic on the highway. I know I'm not getting stopped and pulled out of my vehicle. I'll go Death Race 2000 on those motherfuckers if I can't find a way out.
DRBoogie... The reason why you don't see any CHP vehicles on the freeways is because its being watched from CHP helicopters ready to send out a unit after someone.
@quietone I had something similar except I was overtaking the CHP at over a 100. He pulled over to let me by and I recognized he was CHP in an all white sedan at the last second. I literally just headed to the right shoulder and he pulled in behind me. He knew my brother in law, a CHP Sergeant so I got off with a lecture.
I honestly hate driving sometimes nowadays because people are just careless
If you're speeding/driving on the freeway, always look in your rear view mirror periodically to see a group of cars going slow.
Why?
Because no one is going the speed limit in non rush hour times because the freeways have such light traffic
But when there's a CHP, everyone slows down and is driving the speed limit or slower....so you can spot 'em

Move the fuck over you slow ass fucktards

Wtf is this thread? This thread was not supposed to have a point lol

Yes, but attention w***** will always make themselves the point.
lol
Lol @ u guys who think a CHP will ticket you in the fast last for going too slow
As long as you're traveling the speed limit, they figure you're doing their job for them by controlling lane speeds.
CA drivers are idiots and all think their tax dollars went to buy them Lane 1 and never look in their rear view.
I would like to see a Sikorsky Skycrane pick them up with a magnet, then drop them from 500 feet up for the viewing pleasure of the rest of us.
German autobahns are great, you only need 2 lanes. Right lane and passing left lane.
Course the wrecks they have are very impressive but fuck it, life is short.
You gotta have a Death Wish if you keep invading Russia thinking it'll turn out better this time.
@MisterAnderson - If you are driving in the passing lane of any highway, and a car travelling faster than you approaches you in your lane, and you are either 1) not passing another vehicle or 2) in the process of merging over, then you already WERE driving like an asshole.
The car trying to pass is not causing any danger. YOU are the one causing danger by trying to restrict someone else's freedom doing something illegal. That is NOT your right. If you think it is then you're an idiot. If you think a driver is driving dangerously, then you pull over to safety, pull out your cell phone and dial those 3 magic numbers and report them. You are not a judge, jury nor executioner.
Seems pointless, but
@SubSlutSlayrr
I dont use the "fast lane" to cruise
On a 2 lane highway I'll stay in the right lane. If another lane opens up, I'll move over one. So I can avoid being in anyone's way merging onto the freeway. When possible I'll gladly move over to make merging easier. All depends. If my exit is next ... Maybe not.? I try to be courteous. Of course only human also,...
irregardless of speed, when peeps don't pull to the right to allow faster traffic to pass, those peeps are actually creating a more dangerous situation for themselves, and the cars behind them, it's statistically been proven
just because you are driving the limit, doesn't change this fact, when one doesn't get over for faster traffic, you are being an unsafe driver
Prepare for more speeding tickets and moving violations as the state and cities start hurting for cash...instant revenue.

I drove from South OC to Agoura the other day, during the week at 10:00AM and I don't think I even tapped the brakes. Almost makes the pandemic worth it.
Scroll to 1:30
I like to ride the paint, I never go less than 10mph faster than traffic REGARDLESS of the posted speed limit and REGARDLESS of the cops. I would like to point out that irregardless is redundant. Let's clean it up around here, ok?
Sincerely the grammar police

Lamar leaves the best comments on every single blog.
And it was really quite neighborly of Witler to tell us "Careful driving..."
Everyone else just seems to be looking to take a shit where they can.
Actually the speed limit on the freeway is to keep with the flow of traffic. So if everyone is going 80 and your going 65 the person driving 65 is in the wrong.
Spend some time on the autobahn watching people who know how to drive. Keep right except to pass and be respectful of other drivers and pay attention.
Not uncommon to see moms rolling along in their minivans doing 110 mph. If someone is in the left lane doing 140 mph and someone rolls up behind them doing 160, the guy in front moves over, no questions asked.
And they have fewer accidents than we do.
Wait a minute....people are drving fast on the freeway? Is this something new? People are going 90 in the fast lane? What next...replace 8 tracks?
Driving on freeways seems like rolling the dice with your life nowadays. There are too many idiots who drive reckless and shouldn't even be carrying a driver's license.
