The economy Obama received from Bush was weeks from American going into a second Great Depression. When Obama took office he made the economy go "balls out" and it continued to go up for 8 years he was President. The economy Obama handed to Trump was a very good economy. Trump gave the rich tax cuts and things got really good for a while.
Crisis hit all Presidents, thats the nature of the job. Its how a President deals with those crisis is how history remembers him. Since the coronavirus has hit this country there are 40 million people out of work, businesses failing and trillions added to the national debt. America leads the world in virus case and deaths even though the virus did originate here. We now international protest going on because a cop kneeled on the neck and killed a black man seen by the world.
Let see what Trump does......
So far there are 105,000 people dead from the virus and instead of trying to help heal the nation at this time of crisis. Trump send riot police to trample on peaceful protestors in front of the White House so he could walk in front of St John's church 2 blocks away and ackwardly pose in front of the church with a bible in his hand.
He is failing and failing badly as leader. He doesn't even attempt to try to bring people together even in times of crisis. For some reason Trump supporters continue over look all of his lies, twitter rants, crazy behavior, mis-steps and short comings like they didn't even happen.Trying to twist themselves in knots to explain him. His lies and stupidity continues to repeat its self time after time after time but Trump supporters remain unchanged....Why? What is it about this guy that you have this unbreakable allegiance to him no matter how many people die or how badly he fails to lead the country.

1. I donât have unbreakable allegiance to him. I didnât vote for him in 16. I didnât vote for Hilary either. I could have voted for Biden in 16, but the Dems rigged the process to keep him out and steal any chance of the nomination from Bernie. I will not vote for Joe in November.
There is a bit of peaceful fatalism living in CA. It is firmly a blue state... so itâs electoral college contribution is decided.... no matter which way I vote.
2. I donât have the need/desire to be hypercritical of ANY of our political leaders. That is not about the President. It Includes the Governor, our senators and my districtâs representative.
Having run a large organization that interfaced with the political structure and large parts of communities... I see the impossible job they face all day ...everyday. And respect the work they do... or try to do... even when it doesnât line up with what I think is the right move or my ideology. They were elected. I ought to let them do their job without fighting them every step of the way. If I donât like the job/direction... I get a chance to vote them out.
3. I think Trump is an extreme narcissist and a bit of a bafoon. I think his personality disorder causes him to do and say ridiculous things. At the same time, I also agree with some of his policy implementations (or attempts).
A few:
I like his position on illegal immigration. I think it is a crime to enter the U.S, illegally and it should be treated as such. I think it is wrong to severely impact local, state and federal budgets with the cost of maintaining programs/benefits for those here illegally.
I agree with his posture on China. I believe the Chinese have been manipulating the financial system, violating intellectual and design property rights and in general, playing by different rules than the rest of the industrialized world.
Where I think President Obama did a good job leading in a way that put our economy in position to succeed, I believe Trump added to that momentum.
I also believe the leftâs anger (and embarrassment) or losing in 2016 to a television personality has driven the most destructive campaign of criticism, hate and vitriol I had ever seen. I really thought that was true during Obamaâs presidency. The ârightâ was viscous and relentless. But the left took it to a new level in the last 3 years.
Lastly.... I resent when people refuse to give others zero credit for anything. If they are on the other side of the isle or issue, they canât do anything right or good. I donât believe that and I think it is an unfair, damaging and quite immature way to live in this world as adults.
That goes for people like Electric Wizard and Crane op.... as well as Dude and Sherkhan.
I have no trouble giving Obama Newsome, Feinstein, Harris, Coumo etc... an âattaboy.â

National Security Adviser John Bolton wrote a whole book about his time in the administration that the Trump administration has been going over trying to delay its release till after election. Right now the scheduled release is the end of this month.

Theyâve been trying to de escalate the tension between service members and civilians by getting troops home, only to be thwarted by the administration.
You are going to see a lot more Captain Croziers who would not obey a direct order to harm civilians.
This is especially true as some commanders are voicing their discomfort with unmarked security people who operate without oversight and accountability of things go wrong.
