If the majority of the world just stopped buying everything Chinese for 6 months, their economy would crumble and they would be toast....they need the world far more than the world needs them. Most of their people do not have the consumer purchasing power to buy anything internally...they need the world market.

Where do you guys get your info from?
Republic of China - (current day Taiwan) defaulted in 1912 when the ROC fled from the Communist China. ROC ruled China until 1949. Not the Commies.
And the United States does not recognize ROC as a legitimate nation in 1979.
Meaning no one owes the United States anything in regards to those worthless bonds.
And they are holding 1.3 trillion of our current treasury bonds and they can't get out of. So we basically hold all the cards.
You don't see them Chinese asking for money back from the fucked up subprime fiasco caused by our own failed regulatory system and all the oversight from SEC. We cause a global financial meltdown and we printed more worthless money with consecutive QE and made the rest of the world to buy in instead of us being penalized by our own outrageous greed.
So really, who is fucking who here?
In terms of 5G, Canada doesn't matter, South Korea is worth more in terms of usage and value than the entire Canada population and usage. And those Canadian companies you mentioned had always been a client of Ericsson for years. Why would they switch to HW? NO reason to get happy about anything year.
Just the Chinese domestic market is large enough for HW, and they dominate Latin America, Africa, and parts of Europe. China is smoking the rest of world right now. Dig your heads out of your asses and face reality. China isn't going away and they will be even more competitive against us. You can choose to work with them or against them. And then let our so called allies take advantage and swoop in and take our places and businesses from China.

I saw the lady on Fox Business News, and she was very passionate about it, and she has nothing to gain personally, so it does give the air of legitimacy, but by all means please feel free to poke holes in it, cause I don't know the facts intimately...

I always find it a bit patronizing that we claimed we brought others to the dance or our support brought some other nation out of poverty.
But we ignored the fact that we basically raped China for 20 straight years on rare earth materials by buying mega tons of them in dirt cheap price while destroying their entire ecosystem. And the dirt cheap labors that our corporations made exponentially on. Apple won't be Apple today without China. Neither would GM. Both would've gone bankrupted.
And the fact that we imposed laws and regulations preventing them Chinese from even purchasing our techs because we want them to keep making dirt cheap clothes and shit that we don't care for. So they can remain slave labors for us for eternity is something Trump and every republican and democrat wants. Chinese Lives Don't Matter.
So them back breaking Chinese bear and grind for 20 years making dollar tees that sells for $20 a pop and $8 shoes that sell for $200 a pair while slaving away 80 hours a week in their sweat shop factories. An entire generation sacrificing for their own next generations for better lives.
Now that phase is over, they don't spend the way we do by crediting everything we can't possibly pay back and and subprime mortgage on zero down pay on a house you can't afford on your salary. Or that we need a new phone every 2 years and a new lease car every 3 years.
They save, just like their gov't saves and created a culture of frugality and practicality and sacrifice everything to build up their economy and education.
So they succeeded with the so called China Miracle. And they want to be better. Yes they stole, so did we against the Germans and Japanese. And they improved on what they stole and made something a whole lot better and more advance than we can. Like 5G. And once they do, we say they stole the tech which they really didn't. They stole from Cisco decades back and improved on them to create HW which became a monster of its own. Just because they are better at this one thing that we really want, we do everything we can by violating WTO just like they do, and unilaterally disregarded all the treaties and trade agreements that we agreed and signed. And force all companies to stop trading with them until they give up their tech to us.
And then have the audacity to claim that they are the bad guys because they took advantage of the system that WE THOUGHT OF and MADE IT BETTER WE COULD BUILD.
The fucking gall and arrogance only we can exert on others. And China is no weakling. SO they stood up and bully us back and now all hell breaks loose. I guess bullying Vietnam, Korea, Iran, Iraq, Mexico, Canada and Japan are a whole lot easier than someone as big as China is.
I can honestly say to everyone that commented here, you can't name one thing China stole from us that we didn't already agreed to pay them by selling to their large consumer market. Forcing tech transfer is not stealing, we voluntarily gave it up for access to their market.
Look at the shit that we export to China, MacDonalds, Starbucks, CocaCola, Beers, Cigarettes, GM shit cars. We export junks to them. Junk food, junk cars. And Boeing planes that crashes.
And them fucking Chinese paid good money on all of these junks. And we tell them that their goods are junks while its actually our US companies that paid them to make because we want that great profit to cheat our own consumers.
its their stupid fucking fault that they only make 10 cents on the dollar while we make 80 cents. And make it sound like they are the ones reaping obscene amounts of profits because we are not counting the actual net profit but the exporting purchase price.
And on top of that we force them to purchase our treasury bonds to pay for our own citizens' and gov'ts wasteful way of spending.
So really, we are the saints here. Everyone else are thieves and robbers ripping us off.

Didn't the CCP rule China after 1949? Before that was Chiang Kai Shek and the ROC (current Taiwan) that ruled China, but they lost to Mao, and fled from China to Taiwan after 1949.
I'm pretty sure that's what happened. My Chinese business counterparts always crapped on their Taiwanese partners as renegades. But for some reasons they are all friends privately.
Those bonds that Trump claimed were defaulted in 1938 by the ROC, not red China which is PROC. 2 completely different nations. I consider Taiwan as an independent nation. If someone were responsible for the bonds, its Taiwan, not China.

We cant stay in quarantine for 2 months without bitching about getting a haircut. Walmart is making a killing who do you think supplies them with goods . We're Americans we spend and consume that's all we do. Bringing manufacturing jobs back will cost more on goods as everything is made is going to be a union job's and those fuckers want 50$ an hour.
