Cut a line in the tape with a knife or razor blade. Finding the elusive end of the tape is a fool's errand that acounts for over 6 hours over the period of an average person's life.
I actually made that last part up but I bet it's pretty close.

Pembrush, a glue sniffer like you should just use Crazy Glue instead of clear tape.
