You know, for a nation that is now valuing diversity, I think diversity should include diversity of opinion. Drew Brees has his opinion; others have different opinions. Just agree to disagree and move on.

unfortunately, it's more than that

they want submission and chanting with them...differences in opinions are not allowed.

I agree he should be able to voice his opinion. The question was about kneeling during ou National Anthem. I get that he understands there right to protest. But that doesn't mean to have to approve of it.

I feel the same way. There is a certain level of respect due to those who served, and those who have paid the ultimate price for us all to live in a country were you can speak openly.

I recently googled the history of how the anthem was written. Brought tears to my eyes. I should have taught that bit of history in school. Certainly would have made some decisions I made a a young adult different.

I went back to find the National Anthem story. Sorry I don't know how to add a link. Go to YouTube, do a search for the Star Spangled Banner as you have never heard it. Runs about 11 minutes. To me very moving.

I have the feeling that the Saints front line might allow more sacks this season.

When Drew Brees' position becomes the norm in the NFL, I might start watching it again. Until then, f*** the flag-haters.

Brees was in a no win situation.

He spoke his truth about the flag and disrespecting it. I agree with him. All he said was HE wouldn't kneel nor would he agree with anyone else who kneels....he is entitled to that opinion.

But we are so galvanized in this country, we are discrediting other's opinions if they disagree with our own.

If it one thing to be factually wrong about something....but a person's 'opinion' is theirs. He was not disrespecting anyone else.....

There are those who kneel who keep saying it isn't about disrespecting the flag or those who died defending it....but that is obviously how Brees viewed their actions. And how can they say he is wrong...we have historically stood, removed our hats and showed respect during the national anthem. When someone does something else, that is showing disrespect.....

If they are wanting to object to police brutality....kneel outside a police station.....

yep...don't ruin the sport that gives you the opportunity out of the hood, the stage, the money

a real job? might not give you those opportunities

take your stage and money and go make a difference...the NFL has an award that many would love to win...those that go out and make the biggest difference.

Patriotism is racism. If you debate this you are a racist. The flag is a racist symbol. All cops are racist. Get on your knees to your new American Taliban overlords.

Drew Brees Caved in .Period . But yes hes a Great guy, spent millions of dollars helping those in his community , looks to be a great father and husband ,a man that has earned respect from his teamates, NFL fans, and Joe average Civilian. But that means nothing if you have a opinion and your white ,His teammates threw him under the bus,{Kamara,Thomas,Jenkins +more} then you get all the other Celeb athletes joining the bandwagon ,putting there 2 cents of hate to Mr Brees for having a opinion.I have served this country faithfully and heres my Opinion and I , will not change it.

When you go to a NFL game or any game period pro or otherwise and your thinking on what to do when you hear the loudspeaker guy say " Ladies and gentlemen please stand and remove your hats for our national anthem" Remember all the Gold Star Familys who have lost a family member in combat ,in service to your country ,who will never return home to enjoy the freedoms we all enjoy,

And to all the NFL ,NBA ,MLB players and The general Public , that have never served and are running their mouth about his comments . Go Fuk Yourself Silly you bunch of maggot infested Camel Cavity Snowfalkes .

#PAT TILLMAN , in our hearts never forgotten OORAH
