Not disagreeing, but, i believe in CA, we are far more equal than many want to admit. The good news is that many more events of brutality are getting caught on camera. In the last BLM movement, it much more about shootings; not the chokeholds we've seen lately.
I can also claim to have seen far to many videos of the violent criminal elements of our society hurting individuals including some police brutality. One side doesn't exist without the other. Keep in mind, that like all fringes of populations, there are those that are those that are benevolent and virtuous in equal number to those that vicious and despicable. Most of us are somewhere in the middle while i try to be on benevolent and virtuous side.

The police have demonstrated a lot more restraint when compared to past protests.
But that restraint has resulted in more police officers hurt and continued looting and
vandalism.
With the protesters/BLM wanting more restrictions on the way law enforcement
deals with the public, I wonder how can they effectively deal with the violent
criminals.
In LA, a lot of improvements have been made in the last 50 years.
However many people are now arming themselves, once they realized that many
local politicians are sympathetic to the protesters and down play the looting
and vandalism.
I doubt that BLM will change very much for the better.
Will they attempt to end the Black on Black crime in Chicago?
They seem to encourage violence.
I think with the rise of BLM, Blacks will be worse off.
This may even embolden the criminals.

His assailant snuck up from behind and shot the officer in the back of the head.

Denzel won Best Supporting Actor and, if I recall, he might be blackish
