"The Black Death" is racist!
Why not "The White Death"?
That's what happens when you let whitey name a disease!
Should have named it "The Trump Death"

It was actually the fleas that the Rats had on them that carried the black death. An interesting theory was that many people back then sat on their front porches in the evening and if the wind was coming from behind the house they wouldn't have as high of infection rate as if the wind was blowing towards the front porch thus carrying the airborne fleas towards them.

Kilt 30 - 60% of Europe, estimated 125 -200 million dead and took 200 years to get that back
Wonder how that porch thing worked out though

Actually it was called the "The Great Mortality" back then. As for crazy solutions one of the ideas as a cure was to stand around a latrine and inhale the bad air figuring any worse air than the stench of death might ward off catching it. Obviously that didn't work. Neither did dancing in the streets.

"The phrase mors nigra, 'black death', was used in 1350 by Simon de Covino (or Couvin), a Belgian astronomer, in his poem "On the Judgement of the Sun at a Feast of Saturn" (De judicio Solis in convivio Saturni), which attributes the plague to an astrological conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn."
See what I mean?
1350
"Mors nigra"
Racist as fuck!
