Umm ... I'm demanding that you grow up. You wanna change the base names ...knock yourself out. Let's name some after black leaders and civil rights icons. In 60-80 years there will be a new work movement that wants to rename them so let's just number them.

Wait, sorry. I see. Ok, List ALL the navy and marine corps bases named after Confederate Generals. I'll apologize if you find any. So feel free to list some off. The Marines put in some serious effort to get rid of confederate crap over time
Now, if you used the word "Army" bases then I get your game. The Army was fine with renaming the bases. Still are fine with it. I've got two names off the top of my head that'd be perfect: General Benjamin Davis Sr. and General Colin Powell.

Fort Bragg in NC, named after Confederate Gen. Braxton Bragg. Bragg was a slave owner in LA, and is recognized as one of the WORST generals in the Civil War. His failure at the Battle of Chattanooga at the hands of Ulysses S. Grant ultimately helped hand victory to the North.
Fort Hood in Killeen, TX, named after Confederate Gen. John Bell Hood. Hood commanded the Texas Brigade and was known for his recklessness. His career was marred by his failure to lead larger commands and his defeats in the Atlanta and the Franklin–Nashville Campaigns.
Etc. Etc. There are plenty of real patriotic heroes & "winners" that deserve the naming honor infinity more. Rename the bases and I'll celebrate with an erection or two of my own hopefully ably assisted by some of above ladies @N8ked,Ninja being high on the list....

The racists in the "system" made sure their symbols of oppression endured. Of course any attempt to remove the glorification of mediocrity and racism they cry about their culture being erased. Yeah.. thats exactly what needs to be done. I bet they'd throw those symbols under the bus for a tax cut. I bet they'd give up trying outlaw abortion for money. Republicans values can be bought. I always thought it was weird that so many Army bases were named after Southern generals. After all the lost, didn’t they? I think they did.
I trained at Fort Jackson. His own men killed him fairly early in the war.
How about Fort Patton, Fort Eisenhower, and a Navy base named Nimitz.

I dont necessarily look for things to just fume over but if I did I dont think this would be it. I'm much more concerned about the infringement on the second amendment rights of Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd.
I'm pretty sure that alit of people across all political spectrums would be in favor of changing the names of Aemy based, NOT a real issue. Just an issue to make the fringes foam at the mouth. Have a little more faith.
