Thanks, but I'll pass. The last blog from that mental hospital escapee was enough.

Again... is this blog needed? I can't see what purpose it serves... but to only attract negative and divisive dialog.
|
|
As the initiator of this blog states.. Or his (..BallsDeep) words can be interpreted as "Mr. Brooks was a low life, and he should have been shot in the back twice by the officer. And THEREFORE!! The removal of HIS KIND from this life is viewed favorably by the majority in society".
Your words SIR!! that's how it comes across.....

Perhaps certain people haven't heard, but under Georgia law a taser is considered a deadly weapon. The very DA himself who brought the absurd and lawless charge of MURDER against the cop is on record as calling tasers "deadly weapons" TWO WEEKS AGO.
Apparently, tasers are only deadly weapons when cops use them. When a black suspect resists arrest, seizes a taser, and deploys it, black Atlanta DA's will suddenly discover that they are not deadly weapons.
So much for equal justice under the law.
Btw: the Atlanta police force is majority black. So much for "systemic racism".

Unfortunately My friend... you have SOME in society that feel he's one less bd that has to be deal with..I would never be that naive to think any differently
|
|
Why is it, before getting shot, they are all resisting arrest?
|
|
^^^^Wizard ... I'm probably a moron as you indicated . But what I'm not , is naive. I stick to my original statement because it's true! We do have SOME in society that feel he's one less bd that has to be dealt with. I didn't paint all people with a broad brush including you, but lets be honest here....

‘Again... is this blog needed? I can't see what purpose it serves... but to only attract negative and divisive dialog.”
Uhhhh... are there HX blogs with purpose?
“Taking notes. Y’all are disgusting creatures”
Women usually say that to me AFTER we have sex. You, UE are way ahead of the curve.

The last comment on the original blog....
“ Im wondering why they took him out of his car in the first place and did a breath test.
He was sitting in the car sleep not driving anywhere.”
WTF... did you read the reports/see the video? Fucking goober!
Now with that said, The cop overreacted, which you tend to do after being punched in the face and having your taser taken from you.
It’s bad all the way around. A man lost his life for drunk driving and resisting arrest.
A cop will spend most of the rest of his life begging family and friends to put money on his books in order to buy cigarettes to trade for the protection of his anus.
No winners here. Just degrees of loss.
I guess the only real winners are the news networks and maybe American culture. Our culture is changing. That is good in some ways... bad in others. The pendulum usually swings too far in the opposite direction at first... but it’s usually slows down and settles somewhere close to the middle.
We will be OK.... just hold on to your britches.

Have you guys seen the shooting video? I feel bad for both but moreso for the cop.
The black guy as he ran away, turned his upper body around and fired the taser at the cop on foot pursuit. The cop stumbled for a second onto a parked car and returned fire with his pistol. All this shooting occurred within the breadth of seconds.
People are making a big deal that the cop shot the black guy in the back. The black guy was running away but with his torso turned to shoot back at officer. It’s only human nature to fire back and, it doesn’t take a genius to realize that if you shoot at a fleeing guy running away from you who is partially turned to shoot you, then you’re going to hit the guy in the back.
BLM are taking “the shooting the black guy in the back” out of context because people are making it sound like the white cop was shooting a fleeing black suspect simply because the black suspect was fleeing. Hence, it was cold blooded murder. That’s BS!
I thought the cop’s returned fire in that same instance of being shot at as self-defense. At the very least, it’s not as clear cut to deserve that white cop being fired w/o due process and he’s now facing murder charges.
Find and watch that shooting video, especially the fire fight, and you can see how the black suspect ended up w bullets in his back.
It’s sad the black suspect died, and it’s sad one cop will have his life destroyed after this incident. Yet
|
|
Not sure how relevant that is because the cop being shot/tazed at might not know that. The suspect’s intent to shoot the cop is all that matters in that instant. Bedsides, I’ve seen multiple videos n it looks like there was a flash from the suspect’s tazer gun when he shot it at the cop so not sure if it was armed or disarmed?
It just defies logic to me as to how anyone who sees the shooting can think the white cop shot the black suspect who shot at him first as anything but the cop’s self-defense.

Why is taking a life so important to cops.
When there is a high speed chase and there is to much traffic they back off.
They knew he was intoxicated and not making sober decisions, so why take his life for that? His crime was not that serious. That’s just my 2 cents.
No one should lose there life for something less than self defense where there life is seriously at risk.
There needs to be training in place for these people put into a power position. They need to be held to a higher standard.
More funding to education, and less to police who are not screened or trained properly.
|
|
It was NOT disarmed.....the tazer, from what I read, had been fired twice, so I guess it was 'empty' at that point. But I highly doubt the officer was aware of if the tazer had been fired or not and whether it was one firing or two.
So your comment about him not knowing how his tazer works is inaccurate. Also, the tazer was the OTHER officer's tazer, not his. He still had his tazer in his hand, dropped it and drew his service weapon.
Please get the facts correct.
I am not condoning the shooting, I just want discussion to be based on facts.

I think it was mentioned that the taser had multiple cartridges and he did fire one at the officer.
It could have (should have) been de-escalated, but in the end it wasn’t. And he wasn’t shot because he fell asleep, or because he was drunk. He was shot because he resisted arrest and took a weapon and pointed it an officer. A taser shoots little fish hooks, that aside from immobilizing someone can seriously injure someone, especially if the shooter hasn’t been trained where to aim. If one of those hit you in the eye you are called cyclops for the rest of your life.
In the end he didn’t “deserve” to die. But he made a bad choice while intoxicated, and we have the result we have. Could it have been avoided if the officers had just let him go, yes. It could have also been avoided if he hadn’t been driving drunk or resisted arrest. Like someone else said, there were no winners in this one.

I doubt a murder 1 conviction will stick. All 12 have to find him guilty which is a tough sell. The dude socked a cop and took his taser , now he is threat to the public. Just sayin

I’ve seen the Trevor Noah video suggesting to out the blame on the cops for the drunk guy’s bad behavior rather than the drunk guy. He was trying to balance the blame by saying its a messy situation but it came off trying to have it both ways. In hindsight of course, there’s a hundred different way to have handled it by cops n by the suspect.
All the interaction up till the point where cops decided to handcuff him had been polite by both parties. However once the breathalyzer came back drunk, the cops decided to arrest him. How the heck are the cops to know the suspect would go violently from Jeckle to Hyde in a flash when all the prior moments were cordial?
The whole interaction looks like a pretty standard police questioning of suspect until the guy resisted arrest. Most people cooperate and get taken to police station to sober up. That’s probably the intent of most cops.
All of the sudden the suspect over reacts (probably not because he’s just drunk) but we re learning now it’s probably because he’s had a prior dui arrest and a second one would be even more devastating.
Cops aren’t mind readers. I suppose in retrospect a better outcome could have been the cop telling the suspect his car would be impounded and the cops telling suspect to get someone to pick him up. The cops already had the breathelizer test results.
Maybe the cops can still write the suspect up for dui felony ticket w/o taking him in? (I don’t know, or do all felony violation require arrest?

Georgia only has one Murder charge.
In Georgia, murder requires “aforethought.” Where he did intentionally kill Mr. Brooks.... he did not plan to kill him. It was a split second decision to shoot. 10 seconds before he shot him he wasn’t even considering shooting him.
Although I think the officer extremely over-reacted... I would have a hard time calling it Murder.
Unless they have audio of him saying to himself, “I’m on my way to a DUI stop... I hope they just twitches... so I can shoot him.” Without something like that... or him telling the other cop... “I’ma shoot this guy.” Murder will be hard to prove.
I am guessing they charged him with the “whole boatload” as leverage for a plea.

The cop had body armor on !
That's what cops do and you would to.
The Taser was fired already !!
Theres multiple rounds and the cops have might not be able to accurately know when its fully discharged.
The cops had searched the man down for a gun !!
That's what cops do... its protocol.
The cops ran after the man !!
Because the guy ran first after punching the cop.
The cop killed a black man in a 90% black city!!
What if it was a black cop? Could have been. Not all cops are white.
You better hope and prey this cop get a reasonable punishment or any one of these cases.
Yeah we'll see. IDGAF at this point. The dude violated alot of shit and made bad decisions. Why is he even in a car parked in public while under the influence then trying to run?... blows my mind... but let's bash on the cops again right
Remember the Rodney king riots started after the trial !!
What's that? A threat to revolt in the support for the right to be complely fucking stupid
Some of you all are really sick !!
No were not... we just dont see things your way all the time

The sad part is... if this explodes after a not guilty or lesser charge verdict, those who are angry will burn down their own Neighborhoods.
|
|
Nope.
Their starting to get smart. Look what they did to 3rd and Melrose area.
|
|
I think we can all agree that naps are good.
Especially if you have a friend to help you get sleepy... or to wake you up
|
|
So they burn down to cop shop first...
They will DESTROY the neighborhood after that and thump their chests as if they've accomplished something.

luv.bug you are not good at this troll thing.
Too many flowery adjectives, lame insults, and ridiculous ranting.
I laughed out loud. I mean imagine someone saying that in public--people would fall down laughing at your face turning red. Maybe give you a hug.
Your "angry persona" shtick is not believable. No one thinks they are smarter than the majority of the population, the prosecutors, their law professors--at least no one who anyone is gonna listen to rant.
You might have something as a stand-up performer, sorta the village idiot melts down. He says the craziest shit and gets all worked up and red in the face. Have a drink, watch the act.
|
|
luv.bug: "Of course I wont say it in public."
yeah just what I thought. Well I don't know if your brand of humor would have found an audience there anyway. Clearly not landing here.
I don't think this rant / routine is as funny as the previous one though.
There has been a long tradition of comedians with insults and being insulted, back to Lenny Bruce, Don Rickles, Lisa Lampanelli.
But they are more entertaining-- you are more ranting and looking foolish, more insulting yourself and the nutjob ideas you pretend to support.

"This state has turned into a giant echo chamber of retards. And now you demonize cops?"
That's pretty much spot on...
|
|
"Completely brainwashed by the fake degenerate news media." Why don't you provide some of your informational sources? You sound so insightful.
|
|
@Granite: Don't be confused.
First no it it not ad hominem--look it up. That is attacking a person rather than to respond to a valid point, essentially surrendering the debate. (see luv.bug's posts). No valid point was made.
Since I noticed that most of the right wing, racist, Trump supporters are just trolls trying to provoke or amuse, their rants need to be seen as performance art. Attempts at street comedy. They won't make sense, debate, or listen to facts or reason--it's just like a standup dude.
Heckling is appropriate. And I have to say more and more I seriously am laughing when I read these nutty rants. No one can believe they are being serious. And if they are, they are so outside the norm who would listen? Yeah, Trump is doing great. he may get elected... tell me another one.
I complimented him as being somewhat funny in a laugh-at-the-crazy-loser-meltdown way.
|
|
I mean it is nothing but sick comedy to think that holding cops who murder people, abuse power, and forsake their duty--holding them accountable. Is demonizing them? What kind of cop haters are you guys if you think that a bad cop is the norm?
