I've ben to Las Vegas for the 4th of July and Thanksgiving too. It's a eight to nine hour drive. Never again on a holiday.
I've have three scooters and a jacuzzi that I need fix in July.

I planned a lovely trip to the living room and if everything goes well, I might lounge at the patio for a while.

Corona is coming around again. Going to take a boat, fish out along the OC coast and stay away from too many people.

Yeah... Vegas sounds awesome these days..... I saw on the news ...... & not sure if it’s the rule at all the casinos but the one that was advertising...... apparently the new normal there will be that you can’t touch the cards and they will now be played “Face Up” 🥴 not sure how that’s going to play out.... and everytime you leave a spot they come around and disinfect that area🥴

If I make it to newport b this July I want to sail..anyone want to get a meetup crew going? We will as a group share a sailboat rental. We need a cook or drink tender, me (nurse aide on case anyone gets a booboo), suntan lotion helper, and a Skipper.

LAS VEGAS for a weekend?
i did that once. never again.
i live 4 hours from LV (278 miles).
only stopped 1x, i arrived in less than 4 hrs.
coming home to CA?
what a MESS!
The Strip to I-215 (McCARREN AIrport), normal 15 mins.
BUT...
FROM I-215 to PRIMM (CA border), only 40 miles,
but it was a 3 hour drive! another drive to Victorville, took 5 hours! and i am still 1 hour away from home.
Holiday drive home? never again.
