This Trump dropping out shit doesn't surprise me one bit.
I thought about it in January.
Its not just about his poll numbers.
Being the US President in the next couple of years is going to be a tough job.
Millions will still be unemployed, who knows, the virus may be around in some form for two more years or so. The death toll is already sky high.
Trump can also see his bullshit is wearing thin and he's never been a true problem solver for anyone other than himself.
He can drop out and just tweet bullshit for the next few years and play golf in Florida.
Melania will like file for divorce since she restructured her prenuptial agreement.
Thats why she didn't stay at the White House the first few months of his term.
Pence would probably run with a woman likely Nicky Haley and it would be a very close election. Before Trump bows out though he will either make sure Bill Barr has squashed all the investigations in the Southern District of New York or Trump will try to cut some deal with Joe Biden.

Have you been paying attention for the last few years? He won’t quit. He will stay in... and if he wins he will say, “see. I told you.” And if he loses he will cry foul, he was cheated, the election was rigged, 1000s of aliens voted. (Not illegal aliens... actual space aliens).
He is in this thing until the end... and then... if he loses... he isn’t going away. Where past presidents have shown the respect and dignity to fade into the background and let their successor govern.... Trump will be on the news all the time. Why? Because he wants to be there... and the NEWS wants him to be there. He drives ratings.
