There are a variety of different groups and organizations operating under the banner of Black Lives Matter - there is also the larger movement inspired by said groups which is even larger and more nuanced and multi faceted than that
Conservatives love to think everything is a top down ideological monolith because that is the organizational structure they relate to best - but BLM is not that

that's it, conservatives/independents can't understand or relate because it doesn't have a top-down structure. BLM is not that...what are they? people on here supporting and donating should be able to explain the supporting of them.
I have seen prominent black civil rights admonish BLM...why would they do that? some of these people hate trump so bad, I could barely watch them over the past 3 years with the attacks...BUT this turnaround and push against BLM and DEM party is pretty eye-opening from these life long dems

BLM is a money tool for the DNC... plain and simple.
I work with educated people from everywhere in the world and we all get along and work together and are proud of what we accomplish. People are hired and given opportunity based on education and experience.
I'm actually a minority in my field without a doubt. It's been that way a long time.
This stopped being about George Floyd all long time ago.
BLM is a racist hate mob and the media and Dem party are complicit in letting the shit happen. It's all about socialism and redistribution of wealth

What we have been seeing on the streets of America right now is none of that - it has nothing to do with any version of the current center-right corporatist Democratic Party (it's beyond laughable that there is an attempt to conflate someone as right-center as Joe Biden with something actually progressive like the defunding of police departments)
George Floyd was murdered in broad daylight on camera by state security forces (the police) less than six weeks ago (May 25) - so I don't want to hear some bullshit "stopped being about XYZ long ago"
Jackassrabbit - "People are hired and given opportunity based on education and experience" I would send you links to the countless articles about how both education and "experience" operate in a deeply (yes, SYSTEMIC) racist manner in this country. As far as affirmative action, there was an article that came out YESTERDAY with the statistic that 45% (!) of white Harvard students were granted admission based on being legacies, athletes or related to large monetary donors. Is that the "need-blind" admission standard you want to hold up? Or we can read about the countless studies where job or housing applicants with Black names received a fraction of the attention of those with white passing names. Ultimately, I realize no article I will link will convince you of what is clear and true - so I am kind of wondering what we are all doing here with these blogs anywy (killing time I guess)
(In the interest of transparency, I am personally 100% in advocacy of democratic socialism, redistribution of wealth (especially yours), economic reparations for the descendants of the slaves upon whose backs our nation was literally built and the right of all people to defend themselves by any means necessary - also I am not a Democrat I am a LEFTIST I hate Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer as much as I hate Mike Pence and Mitch McConnell).

The white establishment structure ALWAYS has a need for black people who will go in front of a camera to speak out against other black people - it is one of their most valuable tools and they will elevate these people as much as possible - whether it is Jason Whitlock, Candace Owens, Stacey Dash or anyone else...this is part of a long history and legacy to silence the voices of the black majority

What makes me laugh is that so many of you think black people or conservatives or white people or liberals or Latins etc... are all one thing.
The greatness of America is that we become greater than the sum of our parts.
It’s weird that it’s acceptable for Joe Biden and Donald Trump to think differently and no one challenges which is more “white.” Which ONE actually speaks for white people? How about both?
But if there is a Barack Obama and a Ben Carson... all of sudden only ONE is allowed to be considered “black” and speak for black people.
We (Americans)are more complex than that, yet since it’s easier, you guys like to dumb it down and make everyone the same.
Only lazy people are not nuanced in their thinking.
Concerning BLM... at its roots, overall, I think it is harmful. But it’s current practical application is helpful.
The reason it can’t be “All lives Matter” is because that is a given for most people. Black Lives Matter speaks to the point that there has been a historical and systemic devaluing of black lives.... particularly male black lives.
The idea they must address “black on black” murder in order for their “name” to be accurate is a red herring. It’s like the Eagle Society is wrong because they focus their energy on Bald Eagles in Wyoming.
Their mission is to challenge the governmental systems that they believe are not treating people of color equally.
We can argue about the ultimate end game and the means by which it is achieved... but to simply attack their focus because of their name is shallow and silly.
To be clear, I do not support BLM financially... and I do believe at its heart it is pushing for a dangerous form of Marxism. Unchallenged, it will go beyond today’s necessary impact and advance a cause and system most people would disagree with.
Lastly, those of you who feel the need to insult GE... fuck you! Her presence is what makes these blogs tolerable. Sorry.... enjoyable ❤️

Actually Dude it was to answer GS's post. Which, as it turned out, was too long for her to read.
Forgot millennials have the attention span of a gold fish.
The 2nd post was because someone didn't like that there was a video showing people that are Black Americans disagreeing with blm, I imagine there are thousands more then just those, and just posted nothing in order to close the first blog. Seemed to me that if anyone wanted to voice their view they should be able to.
The narrative, it seems, is that almost everyone who's Black supports blm, or is expected to, and their aims. Posting the video the first time was to show a differing opinion from people who are Black.
