There used to be this 'old time' drug store in Independence, at the base of the Sierra's on 395 and just outside Kings Canyon, they had the best Banana Nut ice cream. Never found it except at that one place and it was just killer. All their ice cream was had made.

I know the place Atticus is talking about up off the 395 with the Banana ice cream, used to go up that way allot with my Grandparents as a kid and as an adult allot of hunting up in the x areas for deer and allot of fishing all over up that way, Lee Vining, Owens River,... Beautiful area and great banana ice cream...
BUT, Coldstone and Tillamook get my vote
