If confirmed, that's a fuck up. You can't have an accurate positivity rate unless you also report the total number of tests.
Positivity rate = Number of positive tests / number of total tests

it appears, from all angles in the medical profession...whether it's hydroxy, testing, brain doctors talking about the dangers of the virus and the second wave coming being touted as the end all be all?? there is a get trump out of white house bias.
if these are reported to cdc? why are they not finding the issue faster? the cdc is not pro-trump

I don't think this is an anti-Trump thing. There are legitimate concerns about long-term dangers of the virus that have nothing to do with who is President. Hydroxychloroquine has been very inconsistent in testing, which is nothing to do with Trump. A second wave is something that people would fear no matter who is President, based on prior experience.

Floriduh is at it again, perhaps. This is the state, don't forget, that had problem with hanging chad.

Thank you very much FloriDUHH!!! You are all assclowns!
|

Go figure, and what does FloriDUHH do also?... Open up Walt Disney World?!?! Shows how stupid that state is.

Actually, according to the Orlando Sentinel (who I trust a lot more than FoxNews), the following were reported:
Quest Diagnostics: 540,816 tests, 11% positive
LabCorp of America: 455,836 tests, 12% positive
Bioreference Labs, 360,286 tests, 13% positive
Advent Health, 103,000 tests, 11% positive
So, we know that 1,459,938 seem to be correct (positive and negative and since 2.7M tests were conducted at least 54% are correct.
Now the screw-ups:
"State officials acknowledged the problem on Tuesday but did not provide specifics such as how many labs were reporting incomplete data. They said the problem was centered on small, private labs". Now remember that these state officials work for Trump diehard, Ron Desantis.
Let's assume that 100,000 (which seems improbable) did not report negative findings. That would lower the positive rate by less than 1%.
This country will meet its demise when we start taking positions based on political ideology rather than facts.

^^^Quat, That just turned me on so much!^^^

Thanks Sasha. btw, you are gorgeous.

Fox is at it again... no facts really in that story "countless labs" made the error? WTF if they found the results, they know exactly how many labs.
Unless they are trying to make this sound a lot more serious than it is.
Confirmed by the above analysis by quat with actual numbers.
Showing the Fox drama to be a non-story.
Funny Fox had those numbers available too but chose to not report them. Sometimes what is not said, says all!

Fuck Florida!
There was 4244 cases and 72 deaths reported LA county today.
We are on the verge of another total shut down.....say thank you to the assholes that refuse to wear masks.

Unfortunately, we really don’t know how many total test numbers have been ignored. The Orlando Sentinel said as much.
One company that gave nearly 100% positivity rate reports 53,932 tests were given. That’s just one company. There were others.
So you really can’t use 100,000 tests as an upper limit.

Quat you have no idea how awesome of a human being Sasha Steele is . Girl I’m soooo happy your back . Sasha Pm me please
|
|
The rediculous numbers were discovered by Fox 35 a local station, you cant compare Fox local to Fox cable. The Fox local in Vegas is just as liberal and slanted as any other MSM channel

Wouldn't make a difference in hospitalizations.
|
|
agreed on the hospital admissions...hard to fuck with those stats
i don't know though...we have seen some extremely elaborate shenanigans to get trump out of the white house....we know most of the med profession is against him. this could be their last chance to keep schools from opening and people going back to work before the election????
|
|
Except that the rise of cases is not a US thing, it’s an international thing from locations that just don’t give a fuck about petty politics.
|
|
OP,
I am sad to say this is not really a new story. Several weeks ago on I believe it was "Face the Nation" they were talking with the chief medical person from Michigan and the chief medical person from Alabama. The medical person from Michigan mentioned that the CDC had a problem getting good numbers because the number of people tested was often not being reported at the local level and of course these problem were reflected in the information supplied by states to the CDC.
I can't imagine any medical testing operation that would not want to capture at least the total number tested and the number of positives let alone breakdowns by age, sex, ethnicity, etc.

Gee....it's almost like someone should set a national standard that would get every state on the same page working together toward a common goal that best serves and protects the American people.
NNNNAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! LOL
Fuck that....that's stupid liberal socialist bullshit
CLEARLY the better way is to have 50+ different systems, and 50+ different standards...all competing with each other for resources and bragging rights.
THAT'S how you MAGA
tRump 2020
May the odds be ever in your favor

Ummm, there is no governing regulations that allow for the Federal government to take over State run hospitals, private hospitals, State testing centers, etc.
If the Feds did it, most of you would scream that Trump was acting like a King AND ginning the stats in his favor.
It's a fucked up system but apparently we gotta dance with the one that brung us........
I personally know one person in Texas that has been counted positive multiple times.
