Tustin is a street in Irvine right? 😁
Tustin Hoffman was great in Midnight Cowboy.
If they live in irvine they may not care where tustin or any place that isnt coastal is. Unless it has an outlet. Then you are talking landmarks
If you say "close to the District", most locals will understand.
Just cut the B.S and say what it is, Santa Ana.
I think it's common for people in Irvine to be unaware of a lot of things. It's one of the most whitebread places I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing.
The areas is called "Tustin Legacy", used to be the Marine Corps Air Station. That's why the big blimp hanger building.
Tustin is right next to Houston, right?
There's a Tustin Avenue in the city of Orange that runs parallel to the 55 - just west actually.
Multi-million $$$ homes in the Tustin Hills, it's not all a shithole like Santa Ana.
But, even Santa Ana has Floral Park with some great lots and fantastic homes.......
If you can handle the nightly gun battles nearby......
Tustin is very pretty and a great neighborhood. 🥰
Tustin is where the 55 and the 5 freeways meet. Its not that hard.
...also. That's where the Jewelry Exchange is located too as well.
Tustin is just East of Santa Ana and North of Irvine if you look on a map.
Irvine is like, 55% Chinese.
many of them, won't drive on the freeway.
they love their insulated neighborhoods.
tracts of homes with their own parks.
there are Asian markets and bakeries,
video shops and noodle shops.
Korean Japanese Indian Persian eateries.
movie theaters and street malls.
no need to leave Irvine. and 2 Costcos. with another one close by in Tustin.
From Irvine to Tustin is a long drive, with all of the traffic lights
Dosnt everyone have a phone with a map program or a nav system in their car these days?
Who the fuck is stupid enough to live anywhere around here and not know where a neighboring city is?
It gets confusing because there are a lot of unincorporated areas right next to Irvine and Tustin (that by appearance are indistinguishable from Irvine or Tustin. However in Orange County, unincorporated areas are labeled as Santa Ana. I had owned a house in an unincorporated area that had a Santa Ana address but for practical purposes was part of Tustin.
However ... Santa Ana DOES NOT want to hand these areas over to Tustin, Irvine, Villa Park, or any city in Orange County because if they did, they would have to hand over A LOT of property tax $$'s!!

chuck norris has a home in tustin up in the hills
tustin was the HQ for the john birch society back in the 60's and 70's (for you educated types)
mary kay letourneau (daughter of congressman john schmitz went to foothill HS in tustin
it borders from the 55 fwy all the way to irvine
that's the tustin history lesson for today
The Market Place shopping center is also located in Tustin at the 5 and Jamboree Rd.
How ya doing MilkandHoney? How's that for some info. regarding Tustin?

Mcconnoiseur --" I think it's common for people in Irvine to be unaware of a lot of things. It's one of the most whitebread places I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing."
Umm .. do you mean plain wrap? Because the demographics of Irvine are most assuredly not Whitebread.

John Wayne (can I even say that without being cancelled?) is on county land hence SNA.
Parts of unincorporated land jogs into Orange, and as stated, Tustin, Irvine, etc. It's technically Santa Ana post office but you can get letters delivered if you use North Tustin also.
Irvine is not 55% Chinese, it's about 40% Asian which includes Indian, Pakistan, etc. (As of 2010 census). There's some good Indian restaurants in Irvine. It just seems like there's a lot of Chinese cause they drive so fucking slow.
The racial makeup of Irvine was 107,215 (50.5%) White, 3,718 (1.8%) African American, 355 (0.2%) Native American, 83,176 (39.2%) Asian, 334 (0.2%) Pacific Islander, 5,867 (2.8%) from other races, and 11,710 (5.5%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 19,621 persons (9.2%). Non-Hispanic Whites were 45.1% of the population and there are 3 gays, 2 trans and 1 gender questioning.

FUCK JOHN WAYNE
Ovulator bringing the thunder!
"Is that you, John Wayne? Is this Me?"
Tustin is quiet,
as long as you don't count planes flying over 55 fwy into JWA,
frieght trains running down the main line down to SD,
and the noisy semis on the 5 and 55 fwys.

Enlighten me about this video shop you mentioned.
@ ovahere: somebody tried that, he's banned from the airport for life........
these video shops rent DVDs in Asian languages.
they can be found inside Asian markets.
lol those still exist?

the comments are pretty funny. I live in the area that was mentioned in these comments...

There are three “Tustins”.
1. Old Town/downtown. The old center of the city with pretty good places for food and local history. Like Temecula, but not as fancy.
2. Neighboring “Tustin.” The parts that connect to Santa Ana and Orange and wish they were not next to those communities.
3. Wanna be Irvine Tustin. The new developments around the old air base. For people who want the luxury Irvine life but don’t have the actual $$$.

Just look for the houses with lots of cars in the driveway. MB's, beemers and Lexus's, they live like 20 to a house.

As usual no one answered the fuckung question.
Yes it is common cause most people are directionally challenged or just cant follow directions or even read a map, like my idiot daughter. They cant even follow their GPS which does all the work for them nowadays.
Let me know where you are and I'll stop by for a visit

At first, I used to state a location that led to many people PMing me suggesting that I use a different word. So I did...Irvine. Then someone after a meeting PMs me and corrects me and says it's Tustin. So I changed it to Tustin, because I guess Irvine had too large of a boundary.
Then after that, sometimes and more than once, someone would PM me asking if Irvine was an option. Well what the fuck? Do people living in Irvine not know where Tustin is?
i know a bunch of Chinese living near and around Irvine.
they don't cross Jamboree Rd. on the West,
Irvine Blvd. on the North, Jeffrey Rd. on the East,
and University on the South.
Irvine. Irvine. Irvine.
i live in Tustin, and they say where?
their kids don't like to drive OUT of OC.
so which airport do they fly out of? LAX.

Here's a fun trivia question: where don't Chinese people live?
Tustin, like El Toro grew up around the Marine Air stations. Tustin was known as LTA. (lighter than air) because during WWII they billeted the blimps there. They used them as observation platforms to spot Japanese submarines etc....
During the Nammer Jammer it was used for repair of helicopters and aircraft mostly. Some massive helo hangers on the north side along Redhill by the OC Mission.
After two failed Asian conflicts there were more Koreans, ethnic Chinese and Vietnamese here than in their own countries so they decided to shut it down and make a big shopping mall, Costco and housing for all our new immigrants.
Maybe a better use than previous. What do I know?
actually, Google says,
there are 2 countries in the world, that have NO Chinese people: Myanmar and Indonesia? really?
If you are talking with someone in Irvine who does not know or can't figure out where Tustin is, you are dealing with a retard who should be avoided anyway.
You can't get there from here.
Too bad that MCAS Tustin & MCAS El Toro are no longer there. Good times man! Good times!
