It's a scam to further the cashless society. Who would a thought ?
That virus is a powerful little bug.
It's funny, they print all the money they want but won't stamp a few coins?
BS, it's just another lie.
I'm doing my part, I cashed in one of my ammo cans filled with rolled quarters and dimes. Totaled about $850.
Are we actually moving to a cashless society?

Can't even remember the last time i handled a coin.
Hardly ever use bills and when I do, I ask them to round up for the tip so I don't have to carry any small round metal discs.
Pennies make me laugh, why bother?
Pennies ?
Besides the $850 in rolled coins I redeemed $10 in pennies. Since the late 70s I've saved my pennies then in 1982 I found out they weren't copper anymore and had to sort out the zinc ones. I now sort through all my pennies roll the zinc and save the copper. I have about six gallons of copper pennies. It's almost at the point where I also say why bother because I'm getting few to almost no copper pennies as time goes on. No idea why I started saving or what I'm going to do with them.

From what I have been reading, although new production of coins has slowed a little due to Corona Virus safety measures, the real problem is people aren’t circulating coins.
Fewer cash transactions coupled with fewer in person customers means businesses depositing coins.
Like Lamar, I have all kinds of containers filled with coins.. my credit union has ma machine in the lobby/... pour them in. Deposit right into your account.
You can also drop off at CoinStar at Stater Bros. Unsure where else they are. If you get straight cash, they charge you a percentage. But if you get an amazon or other gift card, they don’t. Super easy to do too.

My credit union has a coin machine inside it's branches for no fee if you're a member and gets directly deposited into your checking account.

I have been saving coins for 40 years or so. Many years ago I would change it to use on vacation and it would normally be $600 to $800 per year. Now I save coins in both currencies and I had about $900 when I cashed them in. I took that money to Western Union in March when the lines to cross were non existent and sent the money back to myself and with the pesos I went to a change house and bought dollars. In all I turned $900 into about $2400 in 3 weeks.
How else should I pay for parking tickets?
discovered a vast source of quarters at the local coin-op car wash coin dispensers
So this is another conspiracy? ROTFL
"In all I turned $900 into about $2400 in 3 weeks."
That smells like bs, lol
Why do that with just coins, do it with all your money
You can quit your job!
Send the money to yourself in Mexico, then take it to a Cambio, turn the pesos into dollars and make a triple in 3 weeks???
No way

When I came back from Ontario Canada I was able to exchange my Canadian dollars at Wells Fargo but they wouldn't take the change.
When I was leaving Belize I had to pay an exit fee to get out of the country. Funny thing is they wouldn't let me pay with Belizean dollars, I had to pay with American dollars, WTF? I spent the remaining Belizean dollars at the shops in the terminal.

One of the banks is actually paying a premium for coins. If you bring in $100 they are paying $105 they said they had to pay the federal reserve to buy it so in the mean time they will pay the public,

Which bank?

Have a nice drive there is a bank in Wisconsin

Juanita is an American Guy. He is connected to a house in Mexico. Since he represents the ladies that is what he is listed as. He is not hiding the fact that he books for them. He has thrown XMAS parties in San Diego.

This is some Bullshit! Forcing us to pay with a Card! 😡
Yes I am and American that has been on this site through 3 different site names and My handle has remained the same
It is true that Western Union and Money Gram charge $8 per transaction and after my transactions got larger they charged $16. I made between $200 and $300 per transaction. At the time I started there was no lines at the border with the shutdown and I would cross the border around 6am and would do the Money Gram transaction at Walmart on Palamar in Chula Vista. Come back home and get my pesos, and then buy dollars at change houses here. For awhile I could get 25 and 26 pesos per dollar and then sell back at around 21 in the change houses. The spreads got closer after awhile and the lines started to get longer crossing the border. I have a friend that is still making money doing this but he does it by using bank cards in Mexican ATM's. He has US accounts that charge no fees and reimburses him for any fees changed by the Mexican banks. The electra store (more or less the Mexican Western Union) opens at 9am, so if I was at Walmart at 7am, I could be at Electra at 9am and then stop by Changes houses to finish up before noon daily.
There were many people doing this, and it would still work today but maybe my earnings would be about $150 per day.
I ended up using friends to wire the money to as the Electra had a $60,000 peso limit per month.

I'm learning a lot from Juanita.
wait..wheres the spread from? i dont get it lol

We do host free Xmas parties every year but they have never been in San Diego. We have these events in Tijuana and I have advertised them here for at least 10 years. Many HX guys and some of the ladies have attended. Most of our visitors are not from HX, but if you really don't believe what I say I believe you know how to contact people in my network to get their opinions.

This explains a lot.

Why would anyone pay 25 pesos for a dollar when the exchange rate was like 19 or 20, even now it's 21......cause they don't want to make the walk to the cambio?
That's some strange arbitrage going on there but if you say you were doing it, then there you go.
How's AMLO, by the way, he working out good?
In March, the value of the peso went way down and I got as much as 26.40 at one point...most of the time got them at 23 and 24 by both Western Union and Money Gram. The Mexican local houses on got a little bit over 23 for awhile and they are mostly around 20.5 to 20.to buy pesos. Can buy dollars at 21.9 or 22 today
