3. As much as I don’t like Newsom, our leaders, President, Governors and Mayors are trying to lead through incredibly difficult times... unlike anything else we have experienced. Science and Doctors still haven’t agreed on a lot of things concerning spread and the right way to stay safe... so I tend to cut them some slack.
4. That fucker SHOULD be recalled for deciding chicken wings are not “a meal.” THAT is unacceptably government overreach. So to have a drink at an outdoor bar... you have to order more food than chicken wings and fries. If you want to do something helpful... outlaw old white men wearing socks with Sandals. Now that is a real crime.

It is reprehensible to suggest that all of the people in OC should contract Covid. It isn't fair to blame the people of HB because of the mixed messages and outright false statements coming from the White House. But these people have largely have their faith in an idiot, so the dumber people are, the greater the likelihood that they will be adversely affected by Covid.
So wear a fucking mask and social distance until it is safe to stop doing it.
Had Trump just buckled down and took charge of addressing the outbreak from the start, the U.S. would have been in the same place Europe is now (opening up) and he would have likely been reelected. But since he is grossly incompetent and irresponsible, we now find ourselves in a horrible situation with increased infection rates, trillions of dollars of economic losses, and the need for further bailouts. This has been a monumental failure.

In South Korea they have it under control...Restaurant, bars, subways. It's all open again. But they were masks.......In the USA, we have people saying "its unconstitutional to make me were a mask"....and the shit keeps spreading.

But they aren’t the blame for everything. Americans are spoiled. We rarely have to wait for anything... and God forbid we be inconvenienced.

As far as the increase in Covid-19 cases go, that belongs on the people. It is not a political issue. It is a medical issue. We all have the information we need to help stop the spread. Unfortunately, there are groups of people that keep screwing it up for everyone else. People continue to get together in large groups and the cycle continues. I personally know a lot of people that don't believe Covid-19 is an issue because they and their inner circle haven't gotten sick. So, they take no precautions whatsoever. While they may not be sick, they could be spreading it to people who do not have the same type of immunity to Covid-19 as they do. We have no one to blame but ourselves for our own stupidity and selfishness.

There is a big problem in America, that was not necessarily created by Trump, but he definitely amplified it: science deniers, those who constantly claim “fake news” is prevalent, those who claim that they have unlimited constitutional rights, etc., are actually just very stupid, unsophisticated people who can be easily manipulated to think, do, and say whatever they are told. They don’t think critically. They cannot comprehend the risks associated with their actions or inaction. They don’t know what is or isn’t in their best interests. Their inability to recognize the lies they are being told will result in them hurting themselves.
With Trump, who clearly isn’t that bright (must I remind everyone of his “ingesting disinfectant” suggestion; or that he just wished pedofile Ghislaine Maxwell well, etc) misinforming his base has seriously put them in harms way. The one correct decision every person should make is to elect politicians who have your best interests at heart. Someone who hasn’t proven himself to be a greedy piece of shit, who doesn’t only think about himself and his re-election over everything else. Someone who actually cares about the health and safety of Americans and values and respects human life.
Trump haters see him as the dangerous monster he is. Trump followers are willing to blindly accept his bullshit. That is a big problem for his followers. Whether you like Newsom or not, at least you know he wants to protect the people in this state. Unless you’re dumb enough to believe he’d rather kill California’s economy to ensure Trump is not re-elected (again, dumb people will believe anything they are told).

Of course I watched the entire press briefing, and I watched the press conference the next day in the Oval Office where he admitted to it again while trying to claim he was being sarcastic. See the linked video.
The reason the press briefings stopped was because of this stupid and dangerous suggestion.

@Jazz51…this is getting tiring. He didn't literally say everyone should inject themselves, he told the doctors to investigate it because disinfectants and the sun work to kill viruses. Then there were reports over the next several days of people being rushed to emergency rooms because they followed Trump's suggestion that it may work.
Trump is in a powerful position being president. He can't just say stupid shit that is dangerous because there are morons out there that follow his every word.
