The storm peaked as a Category 4 storm Friday, but began to weaken as the day progressed. Steady weakening is expected to continue for the next two days as the storm approaches Hawaii, according to the Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu.

Hope the storm misses the Islands, and your family and friends are ok.

Douglas is currently a Category 3 hurricane with sustained winds of 120 mph that extend 25 miles from the center of the storm. A major hurricane is any storm ranked Category 3 -- sustained winds 111 to 129 mph -- or stronger.

I hope your family makes it through this unscathed.
It's been 28 years since I visited O‘ahu. That was the last time I snorkeled or rode a horse.
