I have thought about a china thread the last few days...just a little bit going on
I believe trump wanted to decouple from them totally at some point...nows the chance
hopefully, the world takes notice and holds china's feet to the fire...unfortunately, half our country can't even do it.
china's true hostile intentions are being revealed to everyone

Must have the nba, lbj and silver shaking in their tennis shoes.
Seriously though, might not be a great idea to go to war against them, they always had the idea that they wouldn't mind a nuclear war as long as they came out on top. As if anyone would actually win in a nuclear war!?!?

possible if HRC was in there...china would not have released the virus. they need trump out of office asap...he's fucking things up for them

^ so true.
China is a threat on many levels.
After this COVID thing most modern nations in the world see China as suspect #1 but yet the Democratic party objects Trumps stance.
Obama/Biden dont have any kind of track record of being tough with anyone globally.
|
|
We might end up in a war with China but it won't be anything like we're used to and it won't be this year or in the next few years it'll be in a decade or so on China's terms. They play the long game and have been going this route through Democrats and Republican presidents.
(Punch yourself in the face if you pick on Chinese people; it's the PRC that's the issue.)

Prolly a good idea to stash coins n bills .in the US fault... aka coin shortage.
In case of a war

Shipping goods from china
.destroys our water
That creates oxygen
And
Its killing marine life
And by 2040 we may never eat seafood again.

Amazon prime has a fascinating documentary about How China Got Rich

putting oxygen in the water kills fish? WHAT?!?!!?
No, O2 levels are slowly decreasing, CO2 levels are rising.

Hmmm, Trump's mean to China? Every Asian country is backing Trump in this dust up. Especially the Philippines who are a little pissed that China built a military base on their doorstep.
Or you can believe Biden who said "Man! China's no problem".
But I may be misguided since according to the polls a majority of Americans say Joe will lead us out of all our problems.....that from a guy who can't find his way out of his basement.

China wrote the book for the Thousand year war.
You'll have to search for it.
I hope Mexico is happy building the port for them.
|
|
As more countries pull their manufacturing out of China, i suppose they could become desperate and escalate.
|

The real issue with China is not the tensions between the US, If your looking for the next Chinese Black Swan event then look no further then the Three Gorges Dam. The flooding this year is the worst since 1998 and the dam has exceeded its limit, but whats worse is the Chinese Govt has finally admitted the dam has "Crack, Leaked, and Deformed" but it's all with in limits. Well that's not comforting, if it breaks it breaks it's estimated to send a 300ft wall of water at 60mph down stream 5 hours later Wuhan will be flooded, almost Biblical proportions.
|
|
Here's the dam form 2009...

|
Nacraman, I'm such a pervert that I'm visualizing Boobs in your before and after pics.
|

China needs a good earthquake to crack open the 3 Gorges Dam.

We might not have a choice if we want a war with them considering what they’re doing in the South China Sea. There has to be a reason they want to militarize that whole disputed area via man made islands. Obama asked Xi about it at the White House years ago and he promised China would not do what they’ve done. Considering Biden acted as an emissary of sorts to the Chinese during their admission into the WTO, which led to his son landing a board position on a Chinese corporation i.e. Chinese government, I’m not sure how Ol’ Dixiecrat Joe would respond if he gets in office and China tried to take over Taiwan for instance. And let’s say the try that on Trump’s watch...oh boy.

Classic desperation move when a President is unpopular and losing ground: start a war and try to rally country to support. Based on crazy lies usually.
I think everyone is on to Trump and will prevent him from it and if he does will have no popular support.
|
|
I dont think China is stupid enough to go toe to toe with the US.
We still have the better military. The just have sheer numbers. The could try to Zerg us, like Starcraft, just send endless waves at US until they overwhelm.
I am getting tired of the kowtowing by US companies to appeal to the CHICOM market.
Disney has been doing it for years with their movies.
They have stolen every piece intellectual property that US companies have. They force them to turn it over to them in order to do business there.
But hey, access to a billion plebeians right?
|
|
Time for the world to send a clear message to China. You can't steal intellectual property, treat your citizens like shit, cover up viruses, and encroach into international waters.
If the entire NATO ceased buying Chinese products for 6 months, China would be done. They would have to come back to the table and play nice, or suffer economic collapse.

@Jazz51 +1 👍

That dam looks crooked
|
|
China's debt is growing and they need foreign exports to stay afloat. I have been personally looking closely at the products I buy. Avoiding Chinese as much as possible....buying more from Thailand, South America, Mexico, and of course, USA when possible.
|
|
China doesn't need global superiority just regional superiority; that's their game. Defense in depth that would bleed out the US Military. It's actually a pretty good defensive strategy to hold onto your local claims and seized territory--make it too expensive to fight.
As for cutting off the economic flow... how? I mean NATO amounts to about 1/2 their income but..a lot of countries earn a big chunk of their income from China as well.
|
|
The NATO countries will feel a little pain for 6 months and China will crumble. There are lots of other markets beyond China....but we (and that includes our allies) all love them because they are so cheap.
|
|
Yeah baby, bring it...
|
|
@ OP. nothing new here to see. Communist regimes are everywhere, do you remember the Korean war ? bay of pigs , Vietnam, Sandinistas Central America , plus a few of our current skirmishes are funded deep state countries are active in the middle east by yes .wait for it..
China,& Former USSR.

This is why we are failing as a nation. Too many dumb morons on both sides of the aisles.
Trump is China's first and last choice as President. There is zero doubt about that. How else can China reach its goal with a smart and competent president at helm? They need morons and arrogant idiots like Trump who flips flops at every issues and bring US's own economy to its knees.
If Trump was smart, this covid thing would've been under control already. The type of incompetency and selfishness is so damaging to the republic that the whole world is laughing.
IF the US decouple from China we will see those 18% interest days during the Carter years.
The day we decouple from US is the end of US as a superpower.

I was going to put that show on TV SHOWS -- how china got rich
only an hour-long...very informative, get a little clue where XI comes from, their start from the bare bottom and how they rose so fast...starting with education.
done with china blessing and bias...nothing about their cheating and stealing, but very good nevertheless
prime has some good hour-long DOCs like this
1/2 way done with the one on Russian Siberia and how china is going to take it over

'The NATO countries will feel a little pain for 6 months and China will crumble. There are lots of other markets beyond China....but we (and that includes our allies) all love them because they are so cheap.'
They're products are monetarily cheap, true. But they're also poorly made. Ex. - They own 50% of range rover, an india company owns the other 50%, and range rover is now a piece of crap. Most of their products - tires, electronics etc. are poorly made and quality control just SUCKS.

Wait there seem to be people here who still believe military power has something to do with winning a war.
That's cute. Very 1960s
|
|
you're on drugs...why do you think we would see 18 percent interest?
|
|
The weakening of the dollar, inflation rampant due to lack of jobs to produce the type of durable goods we need.
If we decouple from China, who will make all these so called cheap goods that you use every day, including the keyboard that you type on? Or the clothes you wear?
And who will buy these high priced software and hardware that we sell at a premium, especially from California to China? about 50-60 billion each year? What about the financial services that we export? What about the farm products that we export?
Why would China buy from us if we decouple from them?
Drop on value of dollar, purchasing price index increase due to inflation, oil prices destabilize due to SCS and Iran. Sounds familiar?
Maybe instead of asking whether I'm on drugs, you go take a basic econ class instead.

Cgem is back! What’s up bro!
|
|
And don't forget, we just spent over 1.5 trillion dollars that we don't have with this covid thing.
And Congress is basically asking for another 1.1 trillion.
Not including every single State not having the money to issue their own grants and loans.
Where do we get all these trillions of dollars from?
Print them out of the thin air? Every single nation is withdrawing their treasury notes from us or let them expire. China just dropped over 10 billion this month, all togeter over 300 billion usd withdrawn.
Japan tried to make up the hole but they started letting the notes expire with interest. Same with every single EU nations
Tell me, where in the world are we getting all these money from?

let the Chinese ladies work on Hx
|

What's up TAE. Too fucking bored.
Just found out one of my buddy's company having to closed down due to covid. 120 folks lost their jobs. And fucking Trump is now flip flopping like a fucking fish on land.
How fucking pathetic is this shit. The other fucking choice is a 77yo Bidumb.
SMH.

|
OC, you've been mongering here for a long time.
How many young, hot, Chinese ladies do you see mongering at all in Cali?
I can count them with both my fingers and toes for the past decade.
They are all in Asia making bank. Only the old and leftovers come here. And they can't compare in services to most Koreans and Thai.
|
|
Oh... I do like me a little Thai
|
|
you musta missed out about 8 - 10 years ago...they had some L problems
|
|
Cgem we gotta link up on pm bro. I have a whole roster ready for you
|
|
I can tell you have that big econ PhD
you think china actually holds our debt AS A FAVOR to us -- like they hold it in a VACUUM that won't affect their side of the equation
both sides are trying to untangle and spread out the economic and supply risks...will take lots of time and, all the while, will keep doing business...even with the cold war brewing. WE need to get our drug supply back or reduce the reliance on country that wants to take over the world
|

Why you guys get all political on here

History says Vietnam kicked ass on 2 or the most powerful armies in the worked - China and the US.
China builds state-of-the-art military jets and ships, however they do not have the command structure in place to support or sustain a large scale attack against the west, and if they attempted such an attack, Vietnam and Taiwan would intervene and smash them.
Such a defeat of China would be countered by a nuclear attack against Vietnam and Taiwan.
Also, the Russians have a border dispute with China, so they might join in such a fight.
China recently allied themselves with Iran.
The result would be WWIII, and God help us.

watch the Siberia documentary on prime...not quite sure it's a territory dispute, but only halfway thru the hour-long show...might finish it tonight
