This whole effort by the Woke Progressives is complete F*cking nonsense as usual...

The attached story wreaks of "the talented students are holding the less gifted students back" syndrome.

Why is it that Progressives have to take a subject like math and completely screw it up under the assumption that "it doesn't matter cuz nobody uses that anyways..."

This is the shit that leads to the decline of civilization.

From the linked story...

"Broadly speaking, this entails making math as easy and un-math-like as possible. Math is really about language and culture and social justice, and no one is naturally better at it than anyone else, according to the framework."

^ That is some serious bullshit and these people have a fucked up agenda saying math is about culture and social justice.

Is it a language?.. yes but a platform to indoctrinate?.. hell no.

There should be a movement that allows gifted kids in high school who want to accelerate but can’t afford private schools to take math classes at a community college if K-12 is going to hold them back.

Completely insane, but should not be a surprise. We complain about it, but yet keep voting these people into Congress, state legislatures, city councils, district attorneys. If there no checks & balances to either party, the extreme voices will enact destructive policies and laws.

Hey KR, news flash for you - that's already in place. Has been for years.

Any high school kid can enroll in college concurrently for FREE if they so choose.
It's called "dual enrollment"
It's available state wide.

The problem is, most of the kids doing that are Asian and White.

To some people, that's racist.

So what's happening?

A move to teach to the lowest common denominator.

I would ask the question, what's more racist, "equal opportunity"

OR

Equal Outcomes?

Another subtle way to keep smart Asian American kids from advancing.
Now that's racism!

And we certainly don't need more dumb woke people on HX in the future!
