Awesome!.. in California no less
The latest stupid shit a federal judge will need to overturn in this state... Reparations
In a state that never experienced slavery, we have people who never owned slaves paying money to people who were never slaves.
Get your AR15 today!
|
|
And all the Lame stream can come up with is Fauci helping HIV patients some 40 years ago.
|
|
Ok. So we should let responsible Americans own AR-15's. Probably 99.999% of AR-15 users are responsible.
But what should be done to prevent the tiny but significant group of people from using them for mass murder?
|
|
Nothing can be done NR...you cant legislate crazy...because...as everyone knows...it's not a person doing mass shootings...it's the gun...the gun gets up and says..."Let's fuck shit up today"...then the gun...gets in a car and drives itself to the scene of the shooting...why not ask the question how we stop fatal traffic accidents...what is your solution for that...as well as mass shootings? All I ever hear from the left is that we need to stop this and make sure that it "Never Happens Again"...tell me how we do that...

Calif did indeed have slavery, it was the Chinese slaves that helped in building the railroads out west...but then that doesnt fit the narrative
|
|
We should hang them from the Statue of Liberty

After a fair & speedy trial that is

Go down the fauci/aids/azt
Rabbit hole if u got some time
Whew!

Will be interesting to see if it survives a 9th Circuit appeal.
Or if the USSC will hear it after that.

'But what should be done to prevent the tiny but significant group of people from using them for mass murder?'
THAT'S the question and I don't think there's any way to actually answer that or to stop 'crazy' people from doing harm.
Like Gordon S says - you can't legislate against crazy. Unless the entire population is willing to allow the federal government to look at medical records etc.
I don't think any of us are willing to go down that path.

I got an idea

If I remember correctly assault weapons were banned in California right after the Black Panthers showed up at the state Capitol armed with them.

AR 15
Ruger Mini 14
Both rifles are semi auto. AR 15 is the new style while the Ruger is the old style
An AR15 is a modern semi automatic rifle.
The design is of today and not 100 years ago.
The M1 Grand was and is a semi automatic rifle used in WWII.
The AR 15 is a semi automatic rifle never used in battle.
The no nothing president calls the AR 15 an assault rifle, because he does not know anything about what he says regarding firearms.
Bad guys do not buy firearms and go through the screening. If you believe they do oh well.
Personally I can not stand shooting the AR, but some love them.
|
|
Really?
What dont u like about shooting the the AR?
I can see lack of firepower/long range capabilities
|
|
I like the Ruger Mini 14
For me some guns fit and some don't. Sig is a great firearm, but they don't fit either.
I cannot stand sports cars because of the fit. Trucks yup.
Auto correct typed grand. M1 Garand is good.
Pretty much why they make chocolate and vanilla .
|
|
Right, Fair enough
I dont have much experience on rifles other than AR/AK
so im a bit ignorant on other rifle models
I love sigs & seem to shoot them well regardless but can see how
the high bore makes them hard to handle/uncomfortable
|
|
Just to clarify
U can presently still own an AR/AK etc
California just has specifications for them
in the name of safety that make no sense
This ruling will hopefully end that
Next up would be eliminating magazine restrictions & handgun roster

Personal fav is the M2, but lugging ammo is a bitch
So, I usually carry my M60
Problem is the 800 meter effective kill range is a bit short
Fuck the 9th circuit bitches
|
|
Just asking if anybody knows where I can buy a GD GAU-13
My M61A1 is fast but light on killing power
There's a finders fee for you
Thx in advance

The General Electric GAU-13/A is a 30 mm electric Gatling-type rotary cannon derived from the GAU-8 Avenger cannon.
It weighs 333 empty. GBD you must be related to The Incredible Hulk

Winchester model 1866 aka Yellow Boy.

I do lean liberal on most issues, but I believe the Dems are wrong on the 'assault weapon' ban.
If I am black and a bunch of white supremacists are lynching black people on my block, I want a very effective weapon for taking down a few of those Q-Anon-believing, Trump-worshiping, neo-Nazi crackers when they come for me, if I need to.
Or maybe it's a bunch of crazy left wing extremists who have decided they will take my home and my goods "for the good of the people", while they work no job, and talk self-righteously about how 'woke' they are.
As we have seen in the last couple of years. it's not like civil unrest doesn't happen here in the US.

@Justify
Chinese immigrants worked for the Central Pacific RR were employees but not slaves. Thay actually staged the largest labor strike of that era.

"The General Electric GAU-13/A is a 30 mm electric Gatling-type rotary cannon derived from the GAU-8 Avenger cannon.

As a matter of fact I am, as evidenced by the huge green shirts I'll leave in ur bowl when I drop by ur house.
While GE designed it, General Dynamics manufactured my fav toy.
I wish GE had made it, then I could pick up some light bulbs too.
Bottom line, I couldn't conceal carry my GAU-8, so the 13 works great when I'm at the theater with "she who must be obeyed".
You just never know when you'll need to shred some main battle tank armor, amirite?
|

AR 15 is awesome for shooting. You can go through a lot of ammo quick. đź‘Ť
|

Gun weight at 333 lbs. Is nothing.
1 minute of firing, even at a low rate, HEI rounds (my fav)
Each round just under 3 lbs and about the size of a coke bottle
Hmmm, that's about 9,000 lbs, make it 4 tons
Can a brother get some help over here?
|
|
U always did give off mark ruffalo vibes GBD
Hopefully ur munitions officer
Isn’t deplete of Y chromosomes
Could make for a long day on the battlefield/movie theater

"Ok. So we should let responsible Americans own AR-15's. Probably 99.999% of AR-15 users are responsible."
What part of shall not be infringed is confusing you?
|
|
"What part of shall not be infringed is confusing you?"
Well, we don't let people have machine guns, so there are some limits, and one could reasonably argue adding AR-15 to the "no" list.
|
|
I'm just saying you can make a reasonable case, not that you should.
|

Question to those who would ban scary black rifles.
Would you also favor banning hammers?
Should one have to fill out multiple pages of forms & wait a couple of weeks when one wants to buy a hammer at home depot or lowe's?
Why do I ask?
According to the FBI - more people are killed by "blunt objects" clubs/ HAMMERS etc. each year than ANY - repeat - ANY kind of rifle.
Should we ban all hammers since "it's worth it if just one life is saved"?
It's absurd that people even contemplate banning black rifles.
Perhaps it's because it's a racist thing?

I think the argument against AR-15's (not that I agree with this) is its lethality:
"Kulvinder Bajwa, a trauma surgeon at the University of Texas Health Science Center and active U.S. Army reservist, said when it comes to lethality, it's the velocity of the bullet that matters, and the one typically used with the AR-15 is one of the fastest around. It travels at more than 3,000 feet per second.
'AR-15, along with what it hits and where it hits and how it hits causes an intense amount of damage as it goes through a body,' he said. 'Because the body is not going to be able to stop it or not going to be able to predict the patterns and it transfers that kinetic energy into that tissue and then that's where you see this blow-out on the other side.'
It's why, Bajwa said, the military likes this type of rifle.
'In that caliber mostly used for war, they're meant to kill but if they miss, there are severe injuries," he said. "So either way you take somebody out of the fight.'"
Lethality is also the reason we don't allow people to own uzis. I mean, if we did, you could imagine that, just like with AR-15's, 99.999% of uzi owners would probably be responsible, good gun owners too.
Now obviously an uzi is considerably more lethal than an AR-15, so the question is what is the cutoff in lethality that determines if a gun should be legal or not, and I believe the answer is arbitrary. I heard somewhere that if you can fire less ~12 rounds without pulling the trigger again, the gun is legal, but if you can fire more than ~12 rounds, the gun is illegal. Something like that anyway. That sounds like an arbitrary definition to me.
|
|
fuck off nr. stay in your bs covid lane.
There are too many guns laws on the books now.
|
|
Automatic fire is holding the trigger in the firing position. It keeps firing until there are no more rounds. Illegal unless you have a special FFL permit or license.
AR-15 semi automatic. One round per trigger pull. It or they are not automatic fire.
The 223 Remington is a rifle cartridge, originally developed in 1957 as a commercial hunting bullet for varmint hunting.
All bullets fired from a gun are lethal. Do not take this round Elk or Moose hunting. It will kill a grizzly bear only if you hit enough vitals before you die from your bear wounds.
Again. All bullets fired from a gun are lethal.
There is no discussion regarding making auto fire arms legal. The AR is semi auto.

|
NR:
"I heard somewhere that if you can fire less ~12 rounds without pulling the trigger again, the gun is legal, but if you can fire more than ~12 rounds, the gun is illegal. Something like that anyway. That sounds like an arbitrary definition to me."
Like so many politicians that make laws without knowing simple, rudimentary decisions, your statement betrays your utter ignorance of the subject.
If you can't bother understanding the simple difference between semi automatic and an automatic firearm, butt the hell out of the discussion.
For "self loading" firearms (where the gasses from the spent shell load the next cartridge) Cartridge - NOT Bullet.
Legal:
Semi-automatic - one pull of the trigger, one chambering. You have to squeeze the trigger each time you fire the weapon.
Not Legal:
Automatic firearms: with one trigger pull, the mechanism repeats and multiple rounds are fired.
Also NOT legal.
Selective fire firearms - the ability to select between semi and fully automatic fire.
As far as your use of the "letal" argument - (not your opinion, but use of a quote)
Bull Shit.
A car can be lethal depending on circumstances and can do more damage than ANY firearm - using that logic, we should ban cars that have the *potential* to be lethal.
|
|
"A car can be lethal depending on circumstances and can do more damage than ANY firearm - using that logic, we should ban cars that have the *potential* to be lethal."
So then why are uzis illegal?
|
|
He just posted your answer..
|
|
If a car can be more lethal than an uzi, why are uzis illegal?
This actually then proves my point that it's arbitrary where the dividing line between legal and illegal is, and therefore the state has the right to come in and change that definition. If the people don't like what the state does, vote them out.

nr, your are one strange dude.
