Serious About Gun Deaths?
Jun 14 2021 11:19AM more by bigseekersb
Tags: LA, Current Events (All tags)

According to the US Dept. of Justice, about 60% of all grown-ass-people firearm deaths are suicides.

So if all these people hollering for gun control were really serious about saving lives in the GREATEST NUMBER, the focus would be on making some fucking serious efforts about suicide prevention.

How many people commit suicide with an AR-15 or an AK-47? Pretty much nobody!

And while mass shootings are covered heavily in the media, they actually represent a very small percentage of gun deaths.

The cause behind THE MAJORITY of gun deaths gets no play at all!

Ridiculous.

We know that doesn't fit the Libtards narrative.
Most mass shootings were committed with a hand gun too.

The government should make it legal so that if someone wants to go, they don’t have to do so in such a violent way.

Hanging, gunshot to the head, or chest, inhaling car fumes. Jumping off a bridge causing an hours long rush-hour traffic backup. Making their loved ones find their bodies. Or hotel staff who don’t get paid enough for that. Or when a body lands in a car bleeding out all over the driver.

That would clear out 60% of the gun shot deaths just like that. A lethal injection of legal propofol and lights out inside of 10 minutes in a peaceful manner. And straight into the crematorium for cremation.

They should offer this to every prisoner with let’s say a 10 year sentence or longer. I don’t know how many would take it up but a peaceful way to go out compared to a lifetime rotting away in a prison always looking out behind you? No thanks.

The line that allwas makes me laugh on people wanting to ban guns.

"if we can save ONE life, it's worth it"

Ok, sure, as long as we can ban ALL cars:

TOTAL number of deaths US
Guns (all kinds, causes) = 39,707
Automotive related - 37,595

In a country of about 330 million.

No one is talking about getting rid of the car, well no one seriously at least.

So why do people even contemplate getting rid of guns.

Makes no F'ing sense.

In Asia, they need to ban those damn Assault Knives with large clips and bump stocks!

"Knife Violence in Asia
In China, which has strict gun regulations, knife attacks are not uncommon. The number of attacks per year is not clear but attacks are regularly reported in the media, showing that efforts to regulate the purchase of knives or punishment of the attackers have been unsuccessful in deterring the violence.

China has had large knife attacks resulting in many injuries and deaths. In 2014, about 10 men and women wielding knives in a Kunming train station, injuring more than 130 people and resulting in 28 deaths.

Other Asian countries that have experienced frequent knife violence include Japan and South Korea. In 2001, a janitor in the Osaka killed eight children with a kitchen knife. A Tokyo man killed four people in a random stabbing spree in 2008. In South Korea, a man killed eight people in his apartment complex in 2008.

DAMNED ASSAULT KNIVES!

Ban tobacco and save 480,000 lives per year. 40,000 of those are from second hand smoke.

The commies look for any excuse to remove the 2nd Amendment.

4,800,000 deaths in the last ten years. Is that a pandemic ?

Politicians receive tons of money from the tobacco industry, but I am positive that has nothing to do with anything.

Socialism, Communism, Democratic-Socialism, what the fuck ever...

They're following the playbook to the letter. And one of the chapters of the playbook is to disarm the citizens.

A disarmed citizenry cannot resist. Ask the Iranian students who were marching for freedom and the police attacked the protesters with machetes. Protest over. Game. Set. Match.

If the'd had a few hundred AK-47s in the crowd it would have been a different story.

We’ve tried to ban smoking in public places and have passed legislation to reduce car deaths and make them safer. Why can’t we use legislation to increase the safety of society from guns?

NR....

What part of SHALL NOT do you not understand.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

If you or ANYBODY else reading this does not like it.....

1. CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION.

The process is clearly spelled out how to do it....

No law or laws passed prohibiting the right of a person to have a gun is legal.

2. MOVE

If you are others like you do not like it....leave the country and please take all of the actors and actresses who said time n time again about leaving this country if this or that happens.....

Well....they are still here. Why?

This is the greatest country ever.....meaning the original foundation.

Our Founders came from countries where the gov had the guns and the citizens were persecuted.

That is why this was added to the Constitution...so that the Gov would FEAR the citizens and NOT the other way around.

@ Night Rider.

Limits on the 2nd?

Ok, let me ask a question.

Would you support restricting the 1st amendment (freedom of speech)

Answer that if you please.

The left is always pointing to the guns. How about address the mental illness problem in this country. Because even if you take the guns away, someone whos looking to kill will find another method to do so.

knife seems like more work. Sitting by the bay enjoying a cocktail,
with an AR just seems easier.
