Meaning of Symbols in Subscriptions

Just curious, when I go to Subscriptions, there are 2 symbols, one for profiles, and one that looks like calendar. I see that they got switch through out the day. I wonder why one would keep updating the profiles several times a day. I am guessing the profiles update is when one is not available?

It’s what’s being updated. If someone updated their profile, it would display a blue head. There’s also green classified ad updates, and yellow blog entries.

I think it's to bump their profile to the top of the subscription list to show they're online without advertising they're online. Maybe for regulars, etc.
