One time this old lady thought she was talking to the IRS about her back taxes and how they needed to collect payment immediately.
They had her in a 7-11 buying itunes gift cards, scratching them off and reading the numbers into the phone.
I asked her, in her 80 years of life, has the IRS ever taken payment in gift cards?
She said no, but she also said there are many things in the modern world she doesn't understand.
Felt a little bad for her but holy hell. At what point when you got this scammer on the phone and your desperately scratching off gift cards do you not pull back, hang up and call someone with a brain.

I have yet to receive a phone call with this spam about my Amazon account, but
it seems they are trying this scam via email, and of course it ends up in my spam/junk
folder, since it has been months since I have even looked at Amazon.

No problem here.. just bought some items on Prime day, today the last day... also got 150. rebate to use.. so I guess its a win.. win for me?... oh wait there's a call from Amazon brb...
