LA Times in the last 2 days explaining how the Green New Deal is a lot of garbage.
I was shocked to learn that there's not enough materials on the planet required to create the necessary electrical infrastructure like batteries, etc And, if we did attempt it, we'd leave behind huge environmental damage, not to mention the pollution created and the cost of mitigation would be enormous.

Rogin would like to know why it is that American taxpayer dollars were being funneled thru the NIH at Fauci's guidance to perform "gain of function" research in a lab that's known to have weak security and is run by the Chinese government. A government that had a secret part of the lab run by the Chinese military and would NEVER allow any reasonable access if something went wrong. Peripherally, one might also note the plethora of Chinese scientists working in american university labs that will take all that knowledge back to our current arch enemy. How fucking stupid are we?
Rogin's is a pretty good question, regardless of whether you think it came from the lab or not. Speaking of which, the pangolin connection is out, as the spike protein has certain features that would make it highly unlikely that this could be a vector.
Possibly, it's a lot simpler than that.
Maybe Hunter got covid dick when he was fucking the Chinese out of the $1.5 billion?

I actually work with Chinese scientists. Never had any issues. One of them now is having problems staying in the country due to a crackdown from all the hysteria.

Not that its a bad thing or I dont believe him but....you uave to be the naiive person in the wprld to not believe that every Chinese national is under immense pressure from their government to bring back intelligence. Im not saying they are professional spies Im saying they are under extreme coercion to do what their government expects of them.
I have worked with verery talented chinese engineers good people. That did not prevent rhe chinese government from walking in to my previous companys china offices and labs and having engineers download IP to USB drives. The engineers who did it.... Had extreme pressure put on them .... Your friends are subject to those same pressures.

I'm not sure that literally every Chinese national is under pressure but heres what I cam tell from a tech company point of view...
Over the past decade and even more in the past few years there has been an extreme intensification of the protection of company IP through data firewalls and protocols for access to data by internal employees.
It's not just foreign nationals that are suspected of theft but many SW tool vendors.
When I'm at home and want to print out a power point slide or two pages from a design doc with detail a window pops up where I have to state exactly 'why' I need to print and what it's for.
The company isnt unjustifiably freaked by assuming stuff leaks out, they KNOW it happens for a variety of reasons I cant get into.
Is China and other countries trying to steal our shit?.. FUCK YES
They will pay *ANYBODY* to get critical detail.
