LOL... Cali suck. but stay there. don't move to anywhere nice and change it into a shithole
|
|
It's a shame but could have been far worse...
Long time Democrat Senator Boxer now sees first hand what defunding the Oakland Police is turning that place into.
The Bay Area is a literal shithole.

It is disgusting how some criminals prey on the elderly. Probably did not know who she was. Sounds like a robbery and it will be investigated.
|
|
so, would it be WRONG, in this particular instance, when giving the police report -
that if they took a phone and a purse... to SAY you thought there were 500 dollars in the wallet portion...JUST to make sure this thing was over 1000 bucks? so this could be a felony?
or would that be wrong?
I'm really conflicted with the lying aspect of it...not sure what to do if this happens to me

situational awareness level = non existent

if a PROUD BOY came to her rescue and shot the dude with his paint gun and knocked his eye out...think she would be thankful? would she testify to help the PROUD BOY out?
i want the judges and politicians to FEEL some real pain from the people they let out on the streets
still in complete shock, that dude from NY got let out after shooting the one guy like ten times a month ago...how is that possible. no amount of money or policy should let that happen

She got mugged in her own district by one of her constituents. LoL. Karma. That’s what happens when you don’t give a shit about the people you’re supposed to work for.

I think the most surprising thing to me about this news was that this old hag is still clinging to life.
|
|
Poetic justice. They say a Republican is a Democrat who's been mugged.

^
I would like a few of them never got that stoopid to begin with

* like to think a few...

karma is a bitch

I echo that sentiment.
Be careful what you wish for......
As ye sow, so shall ye reap.....
What goes around, comes around....
|
|
Don't want to wish it on anyone, but she deserved it.
|
|
not sure what her exact roll or policies are on dangerous people being released from jail/prision before their due...i know of more deserving people and yes it's bad to wish on anyone, BUT these fuckers are doing it to the masses
pretty sure that shooter in NY is going to kill somebody else
let's see if they catch the killer in corona theater shooting...see what his story is

Best news I've heard since FDR died and we dropped the bomb

To Granite and InsearchofStarfish:
ROBBERY is ALWAYS a felony, there is no value amount of the stolen
(or attempted stolen) goods that differentiates between felony and misdemeanor.
BURGLARY is the one that is a wobbler for amounts under $950, and even
then only if it is second degree (meaning not in an inhabited residence). If it is an inhabited
residence, it is first degree burglary, which is always a felony regardless of the value.
ROBBERY is defined as:- You took someone else's property;
- The victim had possession of the property at the time of the robbery;
- You took the property in their immediate presence;
- It was against their will;
- You used force or fear to keep the other person from resisting;
- And that when you took the property, you meant to take it either permanently or
long enough to deprive the owner of most of its value. So, yes police would investigate, there is no need
to "increase the amount" to make it a felony, etc.
First and second degree Robbery and first degree burglary are STRIKE offenses.
A second strike has an automatically doubled sentence. Third strike is 25 to life.
Robbery convicts must serve 85% of sentence IIRC.
If a firearm is involved, it is an automatic 10 years added to the sentence (20 years
if the gun is fired, 25/life if there is a substantial injury).

^ that is very good law.
What matters in the end is does the DA follow up and prosecute the suspects.
In a normal world a DA puts offenders behind bars. In todays bizarro world you can have a Progressive DA that spends more time harassing cops and less time prosecuting real crime.

As stated above, where was her private security?
Lunch break?
