Dude was the mayor of Calimesa and kicked out the county fire department to make his own department saving the city a shitload of money in the process. Actually, the recall is a very democratic function. When an elected official heads off in a direction the people do not want, or the political official shows his blatant disregard for the people as he dictates "rules for thee, but not for me", develops NO plans to address crisis after crisis, including homelessness, immigration, deteriorating educational system, the highest gas prices, highest sales tax, among the highest income taxes, exorbitant vehicle registration fees, did not implement proper forest management, and the list goes on and on.
When you see how many people actually vote for the recall, it will exceed the total number of registered Republicans in the state, so you will clearly see it isn't a republican recall, it is a recall of the people of California.
