I have 2 of each and they're great friends.

Dogs forsure. You can communicate with a dog to some degree. Most dogs aren't all about themselves with unconditional love.
It's been about thirty five years since I've had a dog but I get to dog sit often.

Or at least your kids must be zero maintenance, mine are not, and I've got great kids.
Your pets must have been a nightmare of maintenance - mine are not.

I've always been a "dog person" but, the past couple years I've become a "crazy cat lady". (not really)
Cat's are never fully domesticated !!
You can fully domesticate a dog.
I just like all animals, including most men lol
It's a labor of love taking care of animals !!

Dogs, no contest.
They hunt, save lives, assist with elderly & handicapped, loyal no matter what, used for search & rescue, obey commands..
Cats- could care less whether you come home or not lol.

Love the responses but it wasn't about a pig lol. My puppy Scruffy McGruffy is a little terrorist but she brings joy and happiness to me everyday

Nice I was thinking about getting Scruffy a friend but honestly she’s a handful already so I don’t think I wanna deal with another one at the moment and it’s not fair to her that she is already an apartment dog.

Honestly I’m not much of a cat person the one cat that I did have didn’t really like me too much and used to scratch me in the middle of the night and bite me
