Unvaccinated Covid patients are overwhelming emergency rooms right now.
Should cancer patients and patients who are in dire need of medical care due to various non-Covid illnesses and emergencies lose their lives because people who refused to protect themselves by remaining unvaccinated have taken all of the available spaces in emergency rooms? Should doctors and nurses continually risk their lives (there is always a risk of infection in ERs because of the high viral loads that they are exposed to) treating unvaccinated covid patients?
People need to make better choices, especially in life and death matters. And people need to suffer the consequences of their decisions.
