There are some sad, lonely, window lickers on this website

The point is lockdowns are curing the patient by shooting 'em in the head.
You fucking flat-earthers dont believe in that sciency shit no more?
Mad, why you so shy?
Tell us what a "real" lefty thinks.
C'mon man!

Linked is a commentary that counter-argues against some of the assertions brought up by the OP.
Not bringing this up to argue. I'm just giving information that is out there.
|

Whatsa matter bwana?
You don't like WHO, JAMA, Harvard, etc when they don't agree with you?
When the fuck you dumb dummies gonna stop being partisan and start being pragmatic, reasonable, sane and rational?
If you don't start soon, you'll end up brain dead like moron dty

That's a lot of reading and big words for your tRumpanzee brethren..... you should make that a YouTube vid and post a link for them so they can do "research"..
|
|
Thanks NR!
I knew I could count on you for a quality comeback, since we been having this out for over a year now.
You DO understand that none of this is coming from me, right?
These are just articles and links from respected journals, etc?
Right?
Anyway, lemme check your link.
Thx

Stix, my man
You are such a disappointment as a Nihilist.
Or, even as a blogger.
You already know that I didn't vote for Trump.....twice.
And, consider him an aberrant narcissistic personality.
So, fuck you and your tRump brethren bullshit.
The adults are talking "science", Stix.
Just sit in the corner, STFU and pay attention.

"The project defines excess mortality as mortality greater than the anticipated modelled number of deaths given existing trends. Using this dataset, we can examine a range of locations that both have and have not imposed lockdowns in terms of their potential damage to population health."
This is good stuff NR.
It would be awesome to drill down into methodology though.
As you say, this study refutes some but it ONLY considers mortality as it's yardstick.
I disagree that mortality is the only important metric to measure.
As an example, how does one "measure" the educational loss to millions of offspring in this country from uneccessary lockdowns of public schools while Gavins demon spawn attend private school?
Partly kidding there, but you get the gist.
There are a myriad of ways to slice/dice the data and I suspect the argument continues for many years......part of the problem being that our value systems are different. Is loss of a year of education on par with death?
Anyway, I wanna read more of your link.
More later........

GBD, I'm just surprised you would do all of that cut-and-paste, knowing that no one is going to care or read all that stuff, (especially with all of the cut-and-paste errors) and that there is no way it will change anyone's mind.
If I was the HX dude that egged you on to do all of that work, I would consider that a win.
|
|
not trying to avoid you, just busy, GBD.
|
|
GBD other than your nihilist praise... I honestly don't memorize anything anybody posts on here.
BUT
I will try to make a note of this for the future
"You already know that I didn't vote for Trump.....twice. "
And I promise that I will give you a reach around.... cause it's only good manners

It's a PLAN-Demic, if you can keep it.
99.5% survival rate under 65. smh...

Oh. My. God. Will someone give the OP a life?
|
|
Just wait folks....
Wait a few days for the dust to settle in Calif.
Then BAM.....Gov Hairdo is going to go strong left and may even lock down again.
Or do some other ridiculous mandate.
Just wait....its called pay back for having the nerve to put him through this.
Just wait....

^^^ Then stop wearing your seat belt in your car because it's not preventing accidents. . LOL.

OP
One gaping hole in this set of statistics is the comparison/alternative.
The whole thing is a tragedy, but you're calling it an either/or situation and you've declared some kind of victory. SMH
You're absolutely wrong on that.
There are no winners here.
Do you have a statistic that shows
IF
covid-19 had been allowed to travel at full speed through the population in the early days,
How many deaths beyond the 600,000+ in the US.
and,
since it would seem that the increases would have overwhelmed most hospital systems,
then
how many of your additional deaths from lack of treatment, mental health issues etc. would increase beyond what your statistics show?
GBD, you are the answer man, lets hear it.

Sounds like a great study in population control.
|
|
@PJ .....it is.
And also control of the public.
If they can control us over the flu...which comes around every year....and some years are worse than others....then there is NOTHING they can not control.
This is just one of many steps with the ultimate goal of control.
For example:
1. Soros funded District Attorneys across the country. About 15 of them. They won. Now not enforcing laws. Rapes...murders...all going up. LA, Portland, Seattle, NY, Chicago, Philly, Atlanta...and others I have forgotten.
2. Covid. We have states and Countries not doing lockdowns etc and show no worse or even better results than states that do. Lets take the continent of Africa. Last I checked Africa had 200k deaths. Now how can that be with 1.3 BILLION people.
Certainly is not their health care system is better....Nope. Its b/c they locked down...Nope. They used HCQ to treat people.
3. Getting control of our voting system. I think it was Marx or Stalin who said it does not matter what the vote is but who counts them. And here comes Dominion. And used in the swing states...on top of JUDGES changing election rules. Which is Un Constitutional. Only state legislatures can.
But why let laws get in the way of a coup.
I could go on and on.
The point is the left has NOT been successful in CONVINCING the electorate of their ideals.
NOW....they are pushing them down your throat by any means possible.
|
|
Why are they pushing soooooo hard for everybody to get the jab?
The country with the highest vax rate is Israel. And they have the HIGHEST positives rates.
Israel is pushing for 3rd and 4th shots....
Yeah the vax works real well....

Insomnia…
There is 1 reason most people wear seat belts… to avoid getting a ticket.
That is why they had to make it a law. Without the fine… most wouldn’t wear it.

I agree Noos'em will go full tilt Commie pretty soon and do more authoritarian shit to make us miserable.
Democrats are tone deaf and just dont care about us little people in reality.
|
|
Get a life GB. Why do called “fake conservatives”, especially retarded ones here in HX wants to start discussion backwards? Just like you guys want to ban abortion and also to go back wild Wild West for carrying guns in public to be legal? We had no choice for lockdown because there was not a definite cure and vaccine. Now that vaccines are available, you fakers are all spreading disinformation and discourage people from taking them. How sinister you retards all are. We would like to move on by mandating vaccines and vaccine passport in order to avoid another lockdown. But you guys dislike it because you political hacks don’t like democrats to take initiatives period. Stop nagging.
|
|
One could say the posted statistics slant one way but any statistic pointing to mass death is also a flawed worse case scenario Stat. No one (thankfully) knows what the death count would be had we done nothing.
What we do know is that the government seems to be doubling down on isolation and jabs which considering the amount of the population that "should" have some type of immunity it doesn't seem to be stopping the virus from mutating or spreading.
Sooooo with that go back to your corners re-calibrate you opinion (you won't) and come out insulting.
|
|
Insulting? I am just telling what is exactly going on here. If you think it insulting, improve yourself first

The butt hurt is strong with Prostate Circle.

@KS
That's cool. The sheep follow the laws. BTW vaccine saves life and so is seat belt.
|
|
@PC. Am I talking to you or am I talking to GB, your evil twin? Look, COVID-19 is a health crisis, retard republican such as yourself politicized it to strengthen your political agendas. Unless you guys start following your conscience, we will struggle with this pandemic the rest of our lives.
|

In summary I see the cure is worse than the disease.
I guess Dem run governments have figure out how to run the
government while destroying their sources of revenue from
small businesses.
We've moving toward big corporations working with Democrats
to control the people.
The Dems in CA have used the covid pandemic to destroy small business
in this state.
Am I wrong?
Please educate me.

Another gem of wisdom from me, the Koala God:
No one's opinion will be changed on this blog. But I'm sure that won't stop GoDeepInMyAssCosImAFag from writing twice as long, thinking it'll actually help.
That is all!
|

As long as there is a lack of acceptance, does not mean agreement of opposing viewpoints to your own, dismissing the viewpoints because you don't like the source, (my source is better than yours, lol) and when you start to discredit the messenger (throw shade on them personally) it's time to get off the soapbox and give someone else a try.
You'll probably get a 'participation ribbon' for your effort...lol
Get the jab don't get the jab...
Wear a mask don't wear a mask...
Protect yourself and those you care about as you see fit and let others do the same...stay in your LANE and if your lane intersects with someone who has chosen differently than you, be prepared to either change your direction, try to get them to change their direction or go to battle.
Keep it Simple...

I dont mean to hijack the blog, but GBD is really bugging. Rather than do a "tell all", i wanted to start off with a simple article detailing how the radical right is feeding BS to the average ameriKKKan. mostly about what a real leftist is vs a moderate in us politics. for a start. i just didnt wake up a leftist, it took years of reading, listening and critical thinking. its an article from last year:
"In the lead up to 2020’s Presidential Elections in the United States, there has been consistent fear-mongering by political advisors about the ‘radical left’ and their goal being the ‘demolition’ of American history. However, the ‘radical left’, as labelled by American media and pundits, is not so radical at all. America’s political spectrum is highly skewed to the right, and the constant labeling of policies like Medicare For All as ‘extreme’ and far too ‘leftist’ is incorrect."
|
|
more baby steps.............
"Bernie Sanders votes and caucuses with the Democratic Party, campaigns as an independent and self-identifies as a "democratic socialist" -- an ideology without a party in the U.S. but that draws comparisons to Scandinavia. His stances on the issues are left of center, but American politics have drifted so far right that he's really a paleo-Democrat. There's no daylight between Sanders 2020 and McGovern 1972. No wonder voters are confused!"
"Liberals and leftists want many of the same things: reduced income inequality, better working conditions, more affordable housing and health care. There are differences of degrees. A liberal wants the gap between rich and poor to shrink; a communist wants no class differences at all. They're very different when it comes to foreign policy: Liberals support some wars of choice, whereas leftists would only turn to the military for self-defense."
|
|
Sounds like some of you on this blog need their 3rd & 4th shots ASAP.. )
|
|
"I just didnt wake up a leftist, it took years of reading, listening and critical thinking. "
It's called confirmation bias.
|
|
"I just didnt wake up a leftist, it took years of reading, listening and critical thinking. "
Look... when the other side is burning the flag, hates the Bill of Rights, is routinely destroying other people's property while "peacefully protesting, thinks a wide open border welcoming illegal flow of people and contraband is normal, thinks teaching blacks they are oppressed and whites are oppressors in K-12 and there are at least 50 genders and men can get pregnant...
*** YOUR FUCKING STUPID ***
I dont care what process lead you to accept the Woke ideology
