Fuck the Dodgers. You don't trade the best catcher of the modern era, who was a homegrown talent, because Raul Mondesi didn't like him...
Now he's in the Hall of Fame wearing a Mets cap.
Traded along with Todd Ziele, the Dodgers got in return:
1. A troublemaker (Gary Sheffield);
2. A had-been (Bobby Bonilla);
3. A nobody (Jim Eisenreich);
4. A replacement catcher who hit .217 in his one season with the Dodgers, and was so slow he would finish third in a race with a pregnant woman. The dude couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat (Charles Johnson); and
5. A worthless minor leaguer.
