Re-education camps comrades.
So take the shot or we will hire professionals to manipulate you into getting it. Why the big push for something that isn’t deadly to over 99.9% of the pupulation? My Aunt got Covid. She recovered just find. My Grandma got the shot. She died 3 weeks later of massive heart failure and vomited up blood.
Camps… let’s revisit history…
In the early 1950,s China set up Loafer camps the precursors to the re education camps, The re education camps were set up in 1955 and became official policy of the Chinese government in 1957.
The first loafer camps collected people like Christian pastors, Catholic priests, Buddhist priests who didn’t work. These people were put into prisons and work camps so they could understand the conditions of the peasants. These early round ups reflected both the anti religious and anti foreign bias of the Chinese government.
In 1955 the camps were renamed as re education camps. Mao declared that ” bourgeois intellectual could not be trusted with the education of the people.
Thousands of the teachers and professors in China were sent to reeducation camps. literacy rates in rural China dropped sharply as “politically correct” people were put in charge.
People considered rightist counter revolutionaries such as teachers, doctors, thinkers, writers, and even politicians with the wrong political views were sent to these camps. This included the Chinese that had been educated in Russia with the “Stalinist” view of communism.
In 1983 thousands of Christians that attended unauthorized house churches were arrested and sent to reeducation camps in an operation called Strike hard or Yan Da, In the 1990’s The Falum Gong A buddhist Doaist Group was targeted. The leaders and many of the prominent followers of the group were sent to the reeducation camps. The Doaist because of the religions indigenous roots had escaped the general persecution of religious groups previously.
Under the law a policeman can arrest a person without trial or judicial oversight and send them to the re education camps. This has led to some “middle class bourgeois being arrested so that their wealth and possessions can be taken by the authorities, in spite of having the ” correct political views.
The people that are seen as not supporting the communist ideology of Mao, for religious, political, or economic reason have been arbitrarily sent to the re education camps.

I expect "education and counseling" means send them emails and give them brochures. No, police and fire workers aren't going to be rounded up and forced into camps.
It's also worth repeating the two sentences Walensky said in the interview before the one you quoted:

Jacobsen was about the implementation of a fee associated with getting vaccinated and not about mandating a vaxx. In 1927 a decision to allow the sterilization of people used Jacobsen as its reasoning to allow for the abhorrent practice ... soooo who among us is for forced sterilization? Anybody? .... hellllllllllloooooo?
One day because we have accepted that vaxx mandates are alright we may decide that tattooing a number to your hand and forehead is necessary otherwise how will we know what services we don't want to provide you when your social credit score is too low.
The things you make light of will be serious conversations in a very short period of time. And the turnaround time is light speed these days whereas Jacobsen decision to sterilization was a bit over 2 decades.

Where is the forced sterilization going on today due to Jacobson? It's not happening. Neither do I foresee people being tattooed on their forehead due to low credit. The harms to the individual outweigh any claims that society would benefit. In fact I would argue that the court set appropriate limits and balance between the rights of the individual and the needs of society in the Jacobson case:
"Finally, the Court acknowledged that, in 'extreme cases' for certain individuals 'in a particular condition of ... health', the requirement of vaccination would be 'cruel and inhuman[e]', in which case, courts would be empowered to interfere in order to 'prevent wrong and oppression'. However, the statute in question [take a mandated vaccine or suffer a fine] was not [intended to be applied to such a case] and Jacobson 'did not offer to prove that, by reason of his then condition, he was, in fact, not a fit subject of vaccination.'"

Mandating a vaccine (I'm probably more vaccinated than most) when you have have > 70% of the population vaccinated or having some type of immunity therefore in all probability acheiving here in the US herd immunity is deleterious and punitive IMO.
I'm not railing against the precious ... Im saying I don't trust you or anyone else to be restrained enough to not use it as a cudgle to force any number of things on the population. But what do I know....Im obviously not witnessing all kinds of negligence or abuses of power ... its my lying eyes. Damn them.

Delta has an estimated value of at least 5 for reproductive number R0, without any interventions. (R0 is the mean number of infections caused by one infection). Therefore, independent of any contact network or non-pharmaceutical intervention, herd immunity won't be reached until at least 1-(1/R0) = 1-(1/5) = 0.8 of the population is immune. And 1. that's the minimum and likely not enough, 2. we're not talking about just the US here, and 3. immunity wanes for both vaccination and natural infection (estimated 16 months mean time). So we likely need more people vaccinated, which includes the use of boosters, to end this pandemic by making waves less severe, more localized, and less frequent. It would be nice if SARS-CoV-2 evolved to become less virulent, like H1N1 did after 1918, but unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be happening. So we need all the vaccinations and pharmaceutical treatments we can get.

If you want people to take you serious and by you I mean the government...
Require everyone entering the US to be vaccinated ... until you do that how can you possibly justify mandating anything.....
I'm pretty sure that if you are truly concerned about the spread of the virus you would have to agree that that would be optimal ... maybe I'm wrong I don't know ... but how can you mandate for some and not others.... it boggles the mind. Until you do that you are applying a double standard that I just can't get my mind around. Even then admittedly I would have misgivings but it would at least make me think that our leaders are serious about it... Until then I have to assume they aren't serious at all and are just exercising power.
