Was just in Pismo yesterday and saw a place with a sign “Not LA, not the Bay”….thought it was funny and today after trying to find someone to hang out with….26 miles from SFV, I felt like people thought I was IN Pismo….

Thanks for the input. Will have to check out what you mentioned. It always gets me when I am paying exorbitant gas for my trucks and some young guy that looks like he could be working, asks me for money. It’s like NO dude, I cut wood and breathe all manner of carcinogens daily to make a living, why would I just give to you. Fast forward ahead to “I am so bored here no one is visiting, can someone help out.” And knowing how hard it is to get visitors and all guys I talk to have the same issues. But so long as bitcoin does good from investing the gov stimmy not really a lot of concern. But watch the markets implode as in 2008 to 2010 and it will be a different story….oh well thanks for letting a brother rant….have a good evening

We are geographically deprived here.

Years ago the Central Coast was very active, even Santa Barbara. I agree with you're assessment. I also think the high cost of Hotel Rooms in SB is a deterent.

Central Coast is just beautiful
Love the cool weather and ocean breezes year-round
Absolutely love Pismo Beach
I'd retire there if it weren't so rural... The nearest Home Depot , Costco , and Target is 10 miles away in SLO Town... It would definitely be a big adjustment to having four or five of everything within a 10 mile radius...

As LA moves further north, I need to keep ahead of the wave, like surfing. Moved to Camarillo in 79 as a kid and man has it changed. The little airport is trying its best to be like Burbank. We have a plane that looks and sounds like a 737 but gets around regs because tail is 25 feet and not 40. What used to take 15min to Ventura is often an hour now. Maybe Santa Maria…has a lot of stuff, even Home Depot hahaha, but is close to Pismo and AG….Hell if we can’t get any company 25 miles from SFV what’s the sense in being so close to it?

Try Atascadero.
Still a relatively small town, but growing quickly.
I own 11.5 acres in the coastal range between it and Morro.
Haven't figured out what I'm going to do with it yet but it's a great
piece of property with a great view so I might just build a house on it ...
and then build a wall around the whole place and put turrets every 100 feet.
To keep out ... EVERYONE.

I totally get the expenses issue, gas, hotel, etc. But the short-sided approach means missing out on some good regulars with their own homes, so you could make a trip and not have any hotel expenses if already staying in SFV. I have had people tell me $1500 to drive 34 miles because they were losing time for the drive etc, blah x3. Then I see ads for come see me no one is here and I spent all this money for a room in SFV. WTF, then drive 34 miles and not be out….and if the phone isn’t ringing don’t look at your time lost driving because nothing was happening anyway. Sorry if this doesn’t apply to you but it’s what I have seen.

If you think central coast is dead, try central Texas.
You need to travel to LA and I need to travel to Austin
|
|
SFV is always good to me
When I lived in Camarillo there was not much activity up that way especially not enough to travel after I moved. Some areas just aren’t really worth the expenses for ladies
Maybe make the central coast clubs more active and gather all of the men who’d like to see more ladies travel to that area
I know a few people up there and will be coming next month but for some ladies it’s probably just dead for them
