Is there a tautology to this ?

On about every Philosophy test that I took :
All A are B, Some B are C, therefore some A are C ?
Please solve and show deductive reasoning to your conclusion
I got a B- in Philosophy in College, and was very happy to never have to take another Philosophy class in my life... It did make you think, and it did make you map out your deductive reasoning...

I gather there are peripheral ties. If so, then I would say "Consequential Strangers"

I love philosophy, it's so interesting.

Pete:
Faulty reasoning there.
All A are B, Some B are C, therefore some A are C ?
For example: All houses in Irvine (A) are in California (B ), Some houses in California (B ) are in San Diego (C), therefore some houses in Irvine (A) are in San Diego (C)
That doesn't hold true.
You can fix this by changing it to:
All A are B, Some A are C, therefore some B are C For example: All houses in Orange County (A) are in California (B ), Some houses in Orange County (A) are in Irvine (C), therefore some houses in California (B ) are in Irvine (C).
I think I got that right.
Extra Credit:
Which philosopher was Neil Peart referencing when he wrote "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice"

My guess, for shits and giggles, is a theory of divine intervention. Does a God like entity guide the lives of two strangers who's actions have positive influences on each other even though they never meet or become aware of one another.
My advice is to get a good editor.
Good luck.
Nick
PS. @Pete I'd offer a Venn diagram here to visualize the exclusive sub groups but am too old to figure our how to post one.

Every parents dream: To drop a $100,000.00+ in college tuition for the their kid to get a degree in philosophy.

Read a pretty good book called The Sins of the Father, talked about how many prominent Philosophical atheists, Freud, Nietzsche, & the like we’re either abused (sexually) or elsewise,/had horrible relationships with their fathers which drove them to Athiesm.
Interesting read, I find this to be quite true. Rejected by one’s earthly father, can/does offen lead one to rejection of The Heavenly Father.

My freshman year of college I signed up for a course in ethics without noticing it was a graduate seminar. The teacher, six philosophy Phd students and me were in the class. They were doing the first draft on their dissertation; I only had to write a 75 page paper on the definability of good. It was a trial by fire and I've loved philosophy ever since.

Is fisting a philosophy or just a way of life?

Is this a true-guess, multiple-false test?

I follow the philosophy of Day-cart (Cajun philosopher apparently descended from a well-known French philosopher) : " I think (with the little head); therefore I am (broke)."

well frigging that explains everything about the money
|
|
I think, therefore I am.
