Ya, so much for the extra 5K tax break Trump gave me.
Hope you guys are happy now.

HX ladies are the biggest benefactors. LOL

fucking shame

I was never a Trump fan but unlike the TDS afflicted loonies, I will give him credit where it is due on this one.

Author also seems to be a credible neutral party “Justin Haskins (Jhaskins@heartland.org) is director of the Socialism Research Center at The Heartland Institute and the co-author, with Glenn Beck, of the forthcoming book “The Great Reset: Joe Biden and the Rise of 21st Century Fascism.”
😂😂😂

I can assure you the liberal MSM will never admit Trump did anything of value. Hell will freeze over first.
If you combine that with your self disdain for any news coming from any right wing news sources it's easy to see why you would be closed minded.
There exists an empty set of possible news sources reporting.
Aka.. just go bury you head in the sand and keep screaming "Orange man bad" while federal judges keep telling Biden to return to the remain in Mexico policy.

@ Spanner.
How is the Hill right biased?
Back up your statement please. Top two google checks show middle or the road.
How the hell can you be biased to the right if you have (had) James Carville working for them.
I'm confused.

Nice unbiased source.
Author is from something called the "Socialism Research Center" (socialism is a word used by hyper-partisans to describe Democrats) and has a book coming out"The Great Reset: Joe Biden and the Rise of 21st Century Fascism" (more hyper-partisan code words).
Yeah, he's an unbiased source of information.
Maybe he's right, maybe he's not, but I surely wouldn't take his word for it.
|
|
Here is another source.
|
|
^Another biased source
"Andy Puzder...is currently a Senior Fellow at the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy [a conservative outlet]. He was nominated by President Trump to serve as U.S. labor secretary. In 2018, Puzder authored "The Capitalist Comeback: The Trump Boom and the Left's Plot to Stop It" (Center Street)..."
Let's see some objective reporting on this...
|
|
Sorry, but every source is biased.
So I guess we don't believe anything.
Are you waiting for CNN and MSNBC, those two least biased news sources in the world to weigh in?
|
|
Problem is if you look up information about Trump's tax cuts, you'll also find liberal news outlets that say the opposite.
So between conservative biased reporting and liberal biased reporting, we're never gonna get the truth, at least for the layperson.
|
|
The problem we have is that MSM won't speak up because it doesn't fit their narrative.
Trump bad, rich bad.....
|
|
I think the problem is that people are clueless when it comes to economics.
I believe the issue is tax cut versus tax payment.
People need to look at the net amount of money paid to the IRS/Uncle Sam. Everything I have read and seen shows that the low and middle class are NOW paying less taxes than before Trump. Although the rich also got a 'cut', the impact of the 'credits' help the low and middle class far more.
|
|
I can report that I got bent over and anally fucked dry by the Tax Bill. My AGI is in the 145k range.
|
|
most people i speak to who are self employed - small business got a nice tax cut from Trump, the other group of friends i spoke to are very high earners/business owners and they feel they were targeted by Trump (before you could deduct all your california property and state income tax on you federal return, Trumps plan changed that to a max of $10K allowed for deduction).
Its pretty clear Trump knew who his people were..
|
|
My taxes went up.

|
"I’m not saying this is not true but it would be more believable if the source wasn’t the opinion page of a right-wing rag."
YOU would be more believable if everything you posted didn't have some type of hyper-partisan bent...

As a volunteer tax preparer I can tell you that with the standard deduction being doubled (or more) lower income people (under $75,000) paid significantly less in taxes. I had many taxpayers that were extremely happy with the tax cut.
As somebody previously mentioned those with higher income got screwed by the $10,000 SALT limit.
I also see families with 1 or 2 kids making $65,000 not pay any state income tax at all. My opinion is that anybody making that much should pay something in state income tax.
|
|
“ I’m not saying this is not true but it would be more believable if the source wasn’t the opinion page of a right-wing rag.”
The Hill is far left.
|
|
In fucked up blue states like Nee York and CA the SALT cap comes into play for many more people. We are talking about the impact for ALL Americans
|
|
Of course these paid whores of the right forget to mention that the tax cuts for personal income tax are temporary and for corporate taxes are permanent. You know, get paid through stock which can be sold at long term capital gain treatment which an average still can’t take advantage of regarding their ordinary wages. Did I mention they drive their “corporate” car home and their corporation has great medical coverage. And I haven’t begun listing the beneficial treatment for banks and real estate that was solidified in the code. You idiot Trump supporters still don’t wonder why the orangutan is still fighting for dear life to keep his tax returns concealed. Keep smoking that coke.
|
|
Hey Chris....get a good education, work hard, take a risk and start your own corporation and you can be one of those 'corporate' people.
Otherwise, quite bitching about what someone else has. Lots of wealthy people started with nothing, risked everything, maybe even hocked their homes and finally made it to the top.
Funny how we think those people are bad.

Google:"
is the hill newspaper left or right"
Top two hits:
https://www.allsides.com/news-source/hill-media-bias
Rating - Center
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-hill/
Rated: - least biased.
But of course, orange man... bad, please continue with your narrative.

"You idiot Trump supporters still don’t wonder why the orangutan is still fighting for dear life to keep his tax returns concealed. Keep smoking that c*ke"
The feds have had his tax returns for long enough. Info has been illegally leak to media.
***NOTHING***
The feds gave up and the state of NY took up the fight to no avail...
Trump is without a doubt the most thoroughly investigated and wrongfully accused politician in US history.
And the amazing thing is he was a well respected private citizen who suddenly became a "bigoted racist" when he ran for President.
|
|
Lol, Drumpf has never been “well respected”.

^ you rent or own in Beverly Hills?
|

SMH,.... It's IRS Data, matters not who reports it, so you know it's true.
Now try and get media to report on the Maxwell case.

I admire those who risk, work hard, invent and create. They should be rewarded for their efforts. I don't admire people who got their money from daddy, screwed up every major business they started with daddy's money requiring him to be bailed out leaving many honest businesses high and dry through his bankruptcies, value his properties high to get loans and value the same properties low for tax purposes, doesn't pay taxes and refuses to disclose his records when he is finally cornered. The piper has to be paid for roads, defense, schools, etc. Those of us who can should pay our fair share. Would you rather we didn't have free covid vaccines? Oh yea, the orangutan said it would be gone last spring. Of course, he later admitted he was lying, or don't you remember that?

already reported bidens great new bbb plan will give the avg worker a whopping $20 saving
but repealing salt, will save the rich billions
''lets go brandon''
|
|
I'm all for working people getting ahead, and it's my opinion that if we workers would stop pointing fingers at each other and work together we could make that happen.
Also, the percentage of GDP pocketed by the wealthiest Americans continues to rise as it has since Reagan took office. $50 trillion has redistributed from the working and middle classes to the elites, according to RAND.
As for the article, it's an OP-ED piece by a known right-leaning shill.
|
|
Ofcourse SALT will be repealed, its payback and rich democrats want something for their election contributions.
the whole thing seems flopped, - the rich are the dems nowadays.
paid in stock options?
i guess we are talking about people like Musk, he has for years not had income - he would take out loans for his living expenses and i guess this way avoid paying taxes.
recently he did exercise some options and sold for billions, i guess he wanted to do that before the tax codes are changed - and not in his favor.
there will always be people who knows the tax code so well they are able to find ways to avoid taxes or delay the tax liability as much as possible - i dont blame them, rather blame the people who wrote the codes.

Spot on. It burns my ass when the Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warrens of the world castigate the wealthy / corporations for not paying "their fair share". All they are doing is working under the rules that Bernie and Liz put in place in the first place.
Everyone, including them, use tax accountants to minimize their tax burden per the tax codes. All legal. What is wrong with the rich doing the same thing? Don't like it... change the codes...

Tax cuts have ALWAYS increased revenue to the Fed Gov.
Even JFK did it....Reagan.....Clinton.....etc.
Why?
B/c WE the AMERICAN people know how to spend money better vs the government.
And once one profits from that venture one then RE INVESTS it.
If you start a company....you hire more people...maybe start another one...hire more people....and it goes on and on.
FFS this is not rocket science.
Why do you think the economy BOOOOOOMED under Trump....TAX CUTS.
Now if the spending side could SLOOOOOOW down....wow this economy would really boom.
|
|
Notice how NR always goes to politics. EVERYTHING....
FFS nr.....numbers do not lie.
For once....keep your left wing ideology out and truly look at the numbers without...."well that source..."
Go ahead look up under JFK and see gov receipts INCREASED b/c of tax cuts. Reagan....Trump....Clinton....
Tax cuts are NOT a left or right issue. ITS OUR MONEY FFS....lets us invest it how we see fit.
Its worked EVERY TIME they are targeted towards the American people.
|
|
^
Dude what are you smoking?
|
|
pretty easy to check tax receipt revenue,,,thought they were higher after the cuts
have to double-check one day
