Why do you need more than 1 tv?
|
|
Because he can?

LG is the best.
Like the user interface & the OLED
But the Costco TCLโs arenโt bad either, the fact they come with Roku pre-installed is a nice feature

My 65" LG OLED has always had banding issues.
I use my LG 43" 4K monitor (on my PCs) more.

LG 85 inch, I think
Also, it's less than an inch thick
Sits flat against the wall with almost no relief
Came with some very cool rotating art
I can still remember my first b&w, it was like 9"
And the RCA Star Command watching Jack Paar
You could change the channel remotely, that's all
Fucking rabbit ears and snow, lol

Have had a few Samsungs over the last five years. Pic was always good. The 3D had a better pic than the std 4k, but it broke and was replaced under warranty after 3D was no longer made.
About a month ago decided to step up a little. Went for the top of the line 75" (top of the line 85s were $3 - 4k more). Was going to buy the Sammie again, but the Best Buy Magnolia dude convinced me the Sony had the best processor on the market for only $200 more vs, the ultra bright approach Samsung used to get close. Basically truer colors, he said, so I pulled the trigger.
Love the TV, but broadcast quality does not take advantage of the pic quality. You really can't go wrong either way. Both brands are great.
8k is a waste of money, IMO. My eyes can't even make out the finest pixel details.
Got a soundbar with bass and very happy with that as well.

75..85 in...no wonder no one is going to the movies these days.
Always liked SONY as well. I remember back in the day my body had a SONY VEGA, & being blown away at the picture quality lol. They have always been at the top of the line.

get yourself the new LG OLED
paid 7k out the door two years ago with five-year warranty and taxes on 77inch...think BB gives 2-year warranty now
would be 3500 out the door now without the extra warranty
65inch is 1700ish before tax...probably the sweet spot value-wise
moved into new home with bigger TV room and huge wall(kinda makes tv smaller
looking at projectors. only issue i might have is they don't seem to be AS smart as the regular TV's....not enough have signed on...like Netflix,,,,seem to have a 20-25khr life...not sure that is an issue, but might be if it's $6k

Havent bought a new TV in over 10 years.

you could always buy the 1.7 mil 292''
I'm happy with my 65'' 800 series 4K samsung

My Zenith will running circles around any of those devices.
It only has a 30'' screen, but weighing in at 250 pounds no one can steal it.
My NEC 1988 works better then any other cell phone

|
had a 35inch sony....paid like 1800 bucks...which seemed like a lot, but thing lasted for almost 20years before replacing it with an LCD that lasted about 2 years

after watching youtube clips on the VRheadset...hard to go back to watching them on the TV
basically imax with headphones
it's getting really frigging good...waiting on short-throw laser projection to get a little smarter (most don't carry netflix type shit yet without help)
headsets are getting better and cheaper without computer needed for tethering

I hate this tech hamster wheel bullshit. 4K, 8K, HD, UHD, 36", 48", 64".
I think we're at the point of diminishing returns. We cant even see the improvement.
My eyes are so bad now im back to fuzzy images. Of course the built in obsolescence keeps
the wheel turning.
I had a samsung 52"TV for a couple years. Then, one day the picture went whacky during baseball season. Of course i didnt buy any extended warrentee. out of desperation i typed in the model of my TV on line. I found a web page just for MY particular model. it described exactly what my TV was doing. It had instructions on how to fix the TV. How to remove the back of the TV and cut
a numbered jumper on the circuit board. It reminded me if i open up the TV i'll void the warrentee.
It fucking worked. A service call would have been a few hundred bucks. The TV was fine for 3 more
years.

Buy what you like MBC. Higher resolution TVs are thing for some people...as a friend said to me once "If I can't see the pores on her nipples for my kitchen, it's a shit tv"
My TV is wall art. I mean seriously I haven't turned it on in awhile.

The remote controls are called clickers because they used to not have batteries. Youโd press the button and it would actually click generating enough juice to transmit a signal. My folks had a 32โ floor console that was ginormous. ๐๐๐ My grandma had a 27โ floor console with a built in record player. God how tech has changed.
Used to be a Samsung guy but got DSE on my 75โ LCD Samsung from 2017. Replaced it recently with a 77โ Sony OLED. Absolutely stunning.

i always paid for the best resolution...mostly SEX driven
laptops are 4k...some camgirls broadcast in 4k...it makes a big difference for the shit i am looking at
btw...when tv is on idle or screen savor mode, you can see fine art and pictures...it's pretty cool
samsung tv has a model that is kinda made like a picture frame
