Please please with sugar on top, come to my house.

Why, when we can get you at your employers or on a job and add public humiliation while we are at it?
|
|
As they say, if you didn't do anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.
|
|
Twitter is a private company, if you dont like how they operate
then just start your own social media company!
Turns out thats pretty hard to do when govt & industry are in collusion
to silence a group with dissenting views

So, If I am supposed to believe the current narrative about Parler, every single person that created an account is supposed to be the next coming of Germany?
I believe that there were some assholes on there for sure, just like every other online community.
Do I believe that their entire userbase is someone that wants to start a civil war? Hell no.
I think the Tech Monopolies saw a threat and used "muh hatered" as an excuse to nuke them from orbit.
|
|
But if I am reading this right it’s hackers that dealt the latest blow to Parker, making sure people would be accountable for their word and intent if and when shot hit the fan.
|
|
^^^
But thats just the thing. Are we supposed to believe that the entire userbase of Parler are a bunch of Nazi's?
I dont buy it for a second.
|
|
Google already got all the info on me.
|
|
No, but a lot of them spoke their minds more freely than they would on other social media and exposed themselves.
America got uglier, and now they ugliness is coming to the light.
|
|
UIhhh....thats right there is that little thing called the first amendment.
|
|
Scary world where ugliness (as defined by a group) becomes illegal.
We are headed down a very dark road.

Same as a xtian bakery's right to decline gay wedding cakes.
|
|
Far left fascism is alive and well in our country......and people are clueless about this....
|
|
I would have topped the cake with a rooster (cock) and a couple soccer balls and would have apologized profusely saying that I was all out of plastic grooms.
|
|
“Same as a xtian bakery's right to decline gay wedding cakes.”
Where I understand the point... it’s very different.
The gay couples had 5000 comparable bakeries that were happy to serve them.
It would be similar if there were 3 or 4 bakeries that controlled all of the baked goods in the world... and they said, “We won’t serve you.”
I don’t think we want Google, Apple, Facebook and Twitter to control the flow of what is or isn’t acceptable speech.
I’m not defending Trump. He is a slimeball. I’m defending the principle.
They control too much of our mass communication to be allowed to be the referee.

Here's a short guide on how to keep you identify safe going forward. Credit to @medgold_ on twitter for writing this.

what's stopping someone from starting their own network? The government certainly isn't. It's as if the people who can't follow TOS on their free apps wants government to step in and tell companies how to run their business. Maybe "conservatives" hate capitalism.
|
|
I agree with one thing in that bongo vid, this a very dangerous time for the Constitution as seditionists, who have lost 60 legal challenges to the states' certification of the election as free and fair, violently and fatally attempt to overthrow our government and the peaceful transfer of power, the very hallmark of our governance.
|
|
what's stopping someone from starting their own network?
As is being shown today, Monopolies working with politicians can stop you if they dont like you for whatever reason.
This has nothing to do with Drump and everything to do with tech monopolies nuking potential competition.
Why wasn't Parler granted section 230 protections?
Why wasn't Parler allowed to moderate any extremist activity?
Instead it was, NUKE IT NOW! and there are a surprising amount of people that are cheering it on.
|
|
"As is being shown today, Monopolies working with politicians can stop you if they dont like you for whatever reason."
How is that being shown? I don't see it. Start your own network, get your own servers, that's just business.
Parler is granted 230 protection, again, free market means that businesses don't have to do business with you if you're an asshole and promote violent insurrection. If it's a great market somebody will provide for it, isn't that what capitalists think? Are you guys a bunch of socialists?
|
|
crane dumbass, he said it was a very dangerous time for the Constitution.
I agree.
Because of violent lethal seditionists trying to throw out our election.
I truly deeply admire your long term commitment to this comic role you play, great stuff as always.

Party of bearded crybaby losers who kill cops and smear shit on the Capitol walls when they don't get their way.
|
|
We were headed down a dark path the day Great Britain exiled it's white sociopaths to the shores of this continent.
Parler being shutdown is not an infringement of anyone's First Amendment right. They were not shut down by the government. But of course, you people know that. You always cry when the rules are equitably applied because you people are always breaking them. You people only like rules when they are used to oppress minorities.

OPSEC? Seriously. Sounds like a keyboard warrior weenie term. Sorry.
Me thinks a lot of blogging done on HX is by guys on the far left of a Dunning–Kruger effect graph.

Peaceful options are running out.

"violent leftest seditionists HAVE CHEATED our election
there fixed for you moron"
61 LEGAL CHALLENGES. Trump's own AG investigated claims of fraud in this election using the DOJ. He concluded the vote stands. Trump's own director of election & cyber security investigated claims of fraud. He concluded this was the most secure election in US history. Since he did not prove Trump's claim, he was fired. 60+ courts across multiple states have concluded that there is no merit or evidence to support fraud and to overturn the election. The US Supreme Court which is stacked conservative with 3 Trump appointees have rejected two attempts to have the election overturned based on fraud and based on violations of election laws. MI GOP representatives met with the President & afterward said they would not be persuaded or intimidated to overturn votes. They said they would follow the law. GOP leaders in GA, PA, WI have recounted their votes by hand multiple times, performed audits, and have had their own State investigate all challenges to their results. Their conclusion: the President's data is inaccurate. No fraud occurred.
If you still think this is a cheat, you don't like American law and order.

How come there wasn't this level of outrage and gleeful cancellation of Twitter and the blue checkmark army?
All summer long you saw the blue checks inciting violence and extremism on Twitter and FB and nothing was done.
Oh, its because its about speech the politicos and tech oligarchs agree with.
Its a double standard and its bullshit.
Why wasn't Parler given time to moderate their platform of any extremist activity?
|
|
"In an email obtained by BuzzFeed News, an AWS Trust and Safety team told Parler Chief Policy Officer Amy Peikoff that the calls for violence propagating across the social network violated its terms of service. Amazon said it was unconvinced that the service’s plan to use volunteers to moderate calls for violence and hate speech would be effective.
“Recently, we’ve seen a steady increase in this violent content on your website, all of which violates our terms," the email reads. "It’s clear that Parler does not have an effective process to comply with the AWS terms of service.”"
They need to come up with a plan.
Parler doesn't have some constitutional god given right to be carried in app stores or be on someone's servers just because they want to, do you think they do?
they fucked around, now they find out.
|
|
^^^^
Still does not answer my question about why they were not giving time to moderate the service.
Also does not explain why Twitter is given a pass when blue checks say stupid shit and they are not censored.
|
|
from apple:
"In your response, you referenced that Parler has been taking this content “very seriously for weeks.” However, the processes Parler has put in place to moderate or prevent the spread of dangerous and illegal content have proved insufficient. Specifically, we have continued to find direct threats of violence and calls to incite lawless action in violation of Guideline 1.1 – Safety – Objectionable Content.
Your response also references a moderation plan “for the time being,” which does not meet the ongoing requirements in Guideline 1.2 – Safety – User Generated content. While there is no perfect system to prevent all dangerous or hateful user content, apps are required to have robust content moderation plans in place to proactively and effectively address these issues. A temporary “task force” is not a sufficient response given the widespread proliferation of harmful content."

let's compare twitter blue marks when they overthrow the government.
|
|
LoL@ overthrow the gov.
If you think some dude bros breaking into the capitol and throwing some furniture and trash around equals a government overthrow, you need look at places that had actual insurrections.
Just because CNN uses this word does not make it true.

^ It’s not what your elected leaders are saying.

It's funny how your 1st amendment rights were fully intact before parter existed.
It's funny how your 1st amendment rights were fully intact before we had social media
It's funny how your 1st amendment rights were fully intact before we had the internet
It's funny how your 1st amendment rights were fully intact before we had computers
It's funny how your 1st amendment rights were fully intact before big tech existed
It's funny how your 1st amendment rights were fully intact before we had TV
It's funny how your 1st amendment rights were fully intact before we had phones
It's funny how your 1st amendment rights were fully intact before the world had any means of mass communication
It's almost as if NONE of that has anything to do with your 1st amendment rights... and that if any or all of those things disappeared tomorrow, whether it be by natural catastrophe or business failure, or progress, or a radical restructuring of society...your 1st amendment rights would still be intact.
Numerous tech companies have fallen and disappeared....it didn't affect your 1st amendment rights in any way.
Where was all of this whining and outrage when Friendster disappeared?
Where was all of this whining and outrage when MySpace fell from grace?
Geo cities?
Magellan?
Lycos?
Direct Hit?
Infoseek?
Excite?
All come and gone or cannibalized by other companies without a word about your 1st amendment rights.....you didn't care then....but you care now because RWM tells you to?
Your rights are intact....it's just that nobody want's to deal with your bullshit.
Don't be lazy, and don't worry, you can still connect with all you nazi friends and radical right wing terrorist militias on 4chan and 8kun.
4chan
8kun
There, you have your new playground, and all the people you want are there waiting for you. Your rights are intact.....now run along and go play. Maybe you'll make some new friends and go to a cross burning together, the possibilities are endless.
You're welcome

PERSIDENT TRUMP! MAGA! KAGA!
|
|
You need a website for guns and ammo?
I have never ONCE needed that in my life....I know where to get what I need
How fucking lazy ARE you??
|
|
I remember when Obama was coming for your guns.
|
|
Kudos to Stixie for bringing up 4Chan. I was wondering when someone might mention that. Talk about a long lived site with...interesting content. You'd think it would have been taken down long ago. Especially with some of the notorious things that went on. Probably less involved in poly ticks.
@SSL443. Oh brother. I haven't heard anyone except keyboard warriors use OPSEC and they've never served a day in their life. Oh and I expect a middle finger salute when you call me "Officer"
@Crane. New flash. Anti-gun has been working against web based gun content since the late 90s. No real shockers there. Just gotta keep resisting by supporting firearms companies and websites.

Funny most of my leftie friends signed up for Parler accounts around the time of the election or after, just to see what was going on. They all quickly said it was a badly done site, and a bunch of idiots yelling at each other and trying to accuse anyone with a brain or offering critical thinking of being not crazy (alt right) enough. Some deleted their accounts, some left them permanently zombie..
Most signed up with fake info.
But I lauigh when I see reports that Parler had a huge surge of sign-ups around the election--figure most are lefties keeping an eye on the nutjobs.
|
|
Meanwhile, the big hack from a few weeks ago is still ongoing.
Russia and who knows who else, are still inside government systems today.
I am sure this is some how Drumpfs fault too....
