It's obvious he loves the spot light.

He is another douche who lied from the beginning. You don’t remember the guy who first said not to wear masks?
Turns out that was because there was a shortage of them.
None of those people have any credibility whatsoever.

I do admire that when the shit hit the fan he did his best to get people to listen to the need to cover your face and practice social distances.
He looks like he is not fighting the tide, but riding on it.

Sherkahn,
Let's not glorify Fauci. He had a tough person to work with in Trump. But as Chucklaylo mentioned he did start by telling everyone that masks were not necessary. Either that was a bald faced lie on his part to try and get people to not horde those supplies so they would be available for health care workers or an incompetent statement by someone who had forgotten basic science. Personally I think it was the former. And after he and Birx made a couple of more questionable statements their credibility was damaged with many Americans and some people treat it like a great mystery.

I really have a hard time believing any of you give a rats ass about what Fauci says or does. He contradicts himself often and admittedly stretches the truth. Why admire him at all? He is just a guy doing his job ..... please get off his nutsack .... and wipe your chin ... have a lil dignity.

The irony would be if he died with Covid
Not of
But with
A fitting end
For the oft lying scumbag
His gravestone can read
"But he had to deal with Trump"

At the time mask use wasn’t recommended, we thought that Covid spread was mostly symptomatic people. If you’re symptomatic, just stay home. So no mask use was needed, especially since you wanted to save supply. When we realized that asymptomatic or presymtomatic spread could be something like 50%, we realized asymptomatics won’t know they are sick and would spread the disease. It was then we realized that mask use by everyone would help keep cases down. That’s when Fauci changed his tune.

Night-Rider and his revisionist claims.
You said: "At the time mask use wasn’t recommended, we thought that Covid spread was mostly symptomatic people. If you’re symptomatic, just stay home. BUT
Maybe he said that after the backlash, but the fact remains, he said this in an interview at the time:
So, why weren't we told to wear masks in the beginning?
"Well, the reason for that is that we were concerned the public health community, and many people were saying this, were concerned that it was at a time when personal protective equipment, including the N95 masks and the surgical masks, were in very short supply. And we wanted to make sure that the people namely, the health care workers, who were brave enough to put themselves in a harm way, to take care of people who you know were infected with the coronavirus and the danger of them getting infected."

^That wasn't a lie. What he said was true, and a good reason. I'm just adding the scientific reason why they changed their minds. No revisionism here.

I think people are making a much bigger deal of Fauci's changes (which have to do with changing science or scientific uncertainties) than they should. But I guess it's easy to scapegoat someone because you really can't get mad at the virus for causing this havoc. It's easier to scapegoat people.

|
Linked you'll find the scientific reason for change in policy of masks. This reason and trying to save the supply of masks for hospital workers were the reasons why masks were not recommended for the public in the beginning.

Are you talking about the same douchebag that that lied to us...told us not to wear masks...that they don't help...then lectured us that we need to wear masks...then threw out the 1st pitch with his weenie are at the Washington Nationals game and then sat right next to people talking and eating without a mask? Same guy who knowingly lied to us about heard immunity? The same guy who has been in his position for 35 years..."Preparing for and waiting for this moment" only to be completely caught off guard with the pandemic? That Dr. Fauci? from now on referred to as Dr. Fow You Sigh!

LOL that OP is still talking about Trump.
He owns the thought processes of so many people.
I was hoping the inauguration of President Biden would allow Trump talk to fade... I guess not. People love to hate.
|
|
Fauci has been a steady and reliable source.
He didn't lie and really shows stupidity to say such nonsense... shows ignorance of science and maybe some fractured thinking.
It's a problem with many who are mentally addled to see everything as frozen and black/white when actually reality and life is always changing and shades of gray.

Fauci absolutely lied when he said herd immunity was about 60%...then started inching it up...He hides behind "Guesstimates" and "Not Knowing"...but at the same time he and the other libtards make life altering decisions for the American people because "They know what is best for us"
|
|
Kaiser et al...Trumnp talk will never fade...the dems need someone to hate...always!!!!!!
|
|
Fauci's tombstone can read..."Died of Covid after being hit by a car in a crosswalk"
|
|
Fauci didn’t lie about herd immunity. The truth is, we really don’t know what percentage of people taking vaccines leads to herd immunity. Scientists have hypothesized anywhere from 70 to 85 percent, and Fauci always gave figures within that range.
I think people don’t like Fauci because COVID has been politicized and because people get uncomfortable when experts seem to change their answers. But science is always changing and can have much uncertainty. That’s why experts change their answers when talking to the public.
