Yet there have been instances where Democrats have done just that. Maxine Waters and her call for violence against republicans. Nancy Pelosi did this too. Eric Swalwell threatened to nuke gun owners who resisted to have there guns taken away.
Both the Biden campaign and Kamala Harris advocated for and bailed out rioters in Minneapolis. THey aided and abetted terrorist.
But all of that is okay because its from the left.

10 years ago if someone contested the idea that riots are bad for just about everyone no would argue that point at all. We have just gone through a flicking whole year of riots .... Two things that clearly show someone can be impeached after they leave office:
First of all, right around the Constitution was being written, there was the trial of the century going on in Parliament. Warren Hastings, governor general of India, had resigned in 1785. Upon his return from England, after his resignation, he was impeached in the House of Commons for crimes and misdemeanors during his time in India, especially for embezzlement, extortion, and coercion and an alleged judicial killing of Maharaja Nandakumar. The House of Lords finally acquitted him on all charges in 1785.
The point is US law is based on English law, and the founding fathers clearly knew of this case of a man who was impeached AFTER he resigned. And so when they wrote about impeachment, they based it on what can occur in the British parliament, so of course you can do it after the fact here in the US.
Secondly, a bit of logic: The Senate can vote to prevent someone from holding public office ever again, but the person must be impeached and found guilty. If you can only impeach and convict while a person is in office, that person could resign before they get impeached, so you won't be able to prevent him from holding public office ever again. This is a gigantic loophole, so obviously, to prevent this loophole, you can be impeached even if out of office.
You knuckleheads do realize that plenty of politicians in this country have been convicted of actual real crimes, then ran and won office?
