My escrow is 60 days, my lease is a bit longer. It needs some work new floors and paint so Ill get that done before the move. Prescott DOES NOT get hot. In fact this morning there was snow. That is the reason I agreed to AZ I don't do well in the heat and neither do my fur babies. I may check out the scene in AZ, but I'll be back often for visits I have been in Cali for my whole life.....I have a lot to visit and things to do.

Congratulations. Home ownership, is an achievement some only dream of.
Two of my former co-workers retired, sold their LA. County houses and relocated to Prescott. They seem happy. You certainly get a lot more bang for your buck in Arizona.
If you get antsy and feel the need for some cosmopolitanism time, Scottsdale is 90 min. away. If you desire a more serene experience, Sedona is nearby.

Congratulations! Prescott is nice but your neighbors can be all up in your business and nosy. I just purchased a house in northwest Phoenix near Lake Pleasant. My house won't be ready until mid March or early April. I just hope the housing bubble doesn't pop on us anytime soon? If you're into arming yourself may I suggest you go to j&g gun sales? They are a great gun store but just like the house's guns and ammo are way above market value right now. Or sportsman's warehouse is another great store up there. You'll be able to complete a full back round check and leave with your gun faster than you can get a pizza! If you need a good reliable person to do your remodeling I have a buddy in prescott valley who's honest and does great work if you haven't found anyone?

"By the way, Presottonians don�t know why they pronounce their town�s name like a biscuit either, but if you say �Pres-cot� to a local, they�ll know you are a tourist."
